Why does every freaking thing have to be "do or die"?...it is freaking ridiculous. The NCAA is salivating at the chance to get Dukey deep into this tourney. Every game is important, but the game tomorrow is HUGE for Barnes and this team and the perception of where we're headed as a team. I feel like this team will be ready. I just hope the refs stay out of it tomorrow and not allow Duke to maul us while we get called for ticky tack ********.
Agree with thatPressing isn’t second guessing yourself and playing without confidence. That’s called playing scared.
For sure in sports there were times I started 2nd guessing myself. And guess what? I was playing scared. Bc that’s what that is. Purdue played scared. Scared to take shots bc scared they’d miss shots.
Edit: neither of us have said we may both be right. Some guys were pressing, some played scared. Either way, the moment was too big for Purdue.
I’m trying to go through all the emotions this morning. Picturing getting blown out; picturing losing a heartbreaker; picturing winning a nailbiter; and picturing blowing them out. Just so I can sorta center myself. I oddly think I’d rather us lose convincingly than lose in heartbreaking fashion if we’ve got to lose. My heart can’t take it.
Both are true…. Rick Barnes will continue to keep us being a good, solid program…… This tournament is why you play the game so it will continue to be a huge deal. Why does every freaking thing have to be "do or die"?...it is freaking ridiculous.
We will keep being a consistent good program with RB no matter what happens in this game.
