I have no argument, but didn’t my capitalization of HEY deserve some sort of VN cred?

But of course and one VN like appropriated. Kinda thought my reference to a rotary phone was a tip off that I belong in that group as well. I even remember having a party line when I was a kid. Two longs, one short 😂!

To get 3 first day picks would be awesome for our Vol program. I would rather take a future All Pro LT or WR than Richardson as a Titan fan. Saw enough of the later at UF to know he's fools' gold.
I dont mind Wright at 11.
Of the QB's that might be at 11, I think Richardson has the most potential.

I don't like UK. I don't like Duke.

But that was amazing and I love Christian Laettner.

Yeah as a Titan's fan with that pick I'd want Wright of the Vols in the draft...I think Young could also be a good player here in Nashville, but wouldn't have him high enough value for a first round pick.

So IF I was drafting for the Titans and looking at Vols this would be my board.

1 - Darnell Wright (1st or 2nd round take)
2 - Jalin Hyatt (late 1st, if trading back or 2nd round take)
3 - Cedric Tillman (2nd or later)
4 - Hendon Hooker (steal if gotten in the 3rd or later, worth a 2nd round pick)
5 - Young (3rd or later)
6 - Carvin (3rd or later)
7 - Banks (worth getting in the 4th or later, but not a need for Titans specifically)

👍 Spot on order for me as well.

And the Uconn game:

I mean, I agree with its UCONN pick 😂 I won’t lie, I want to choose San Diego State, but this feels too much like the FAU/UT game. SDSU has played better competition this tournament though in taking down the #4 and #5 in KenPom. I’m waiting to make that prediction.

Interesting tidbit: in 2014, UConn lost to Louisville 3x. Including by 33 in the season finale and by 10 in the AAC championship game. Then unranked UConn won their first round game in OT before beating #6 (nat'l) Villanova, #9 Iowa State, #11 Michigan State, #1 Florida, then unranked Kentucky to win the national title.

I think I agree with this, but might even switch Carvin and Young based on need and consistency that Carvin has played with. Young has more upside though.

Yeah actually thought the same, Carvin is gonna be a good NFL player long term I think. But if you hit on an elite pass rusher like Young could be that's a far bigger impact than a good interior OL player (typically).

Every champion since 2002, has been better than 57th in KenPom Offense combined with top 37 in KenPom defense. That number is actually skewed a bit due to that UConn team though because in 2014 since they had the 57th best offense. Every other winner since 2002 has been 21st in KenPom Offense or better, and then 37th in KenPom defense or better. That UConn team was the definition of getting hot at the right time.

Yeah I think you have to be balanced on both ends of the court but also, you just have to get it all going at the right time. Early and midseason the Vols were clicking.

Even UConn this year surged to #2 then kinda crumbled (just like in 2014). Now they're clicking again and look unstoppable. Which is why I think people overreact too much to midseason and SEC speedbumps.

I just don't see anything at QB I would waste a #11 pick on with the team's needs being what they are. I like QB's who can read coverages and check into calls that work over athletes that use that skillset to make something happen. The two that have potential will be long gone IMO.

Agreed. UNLESS the Titans manage to move Tannehill in a trade situation I don't think that #11 pick will be used for a non need position.

Right now the two needs are OT and WR, Burks is a big body guy like Tillman so Hyatt would be a better partner to pair him with.
