That gimmick offense won 11 games, most of them quite convincingly, in the toughest conference. Is "gimmick" supposed to degrade the offense? Put whatever adjectives you'd like in front of it and I'll continue to enjoy the victories and cigars.
"UT had the #1 scoring offense in the entire nation...we have a caller...Mr. Half-a-brain from Lexington...you have a thought on this?"

"Eets clearly a geemick Dale. Not real bawl like Will played this yer"

It’s going to keep being used until our guys are successful in the NFL….. the QBs have mainly pre-snap reads and rarely have to fit the ball into tight windows…. The wrs have limited route trees and are a lot of times open bc the system confuses and has the defense so spread out….. our running game is not a typical run game either….. These things make for an amazing college offense but the narrative won’t change until Hooker, Tillman, Hyatt, Milton or guys in the future prove that they are NFL studs…. This narrative has been around since Briles ran this offense at Baylor.
I understand. It’s kind of like AL couldn’t produce a QB that could play in the NFL.

You wanna see a real offense? Look at Georiga. That's real football

One word for it may be, "gimmick".
Another word for it is, "best offense in the country".

"They threw the ball through the air and forward! They call this newfangled gimmick the forward pass! Ugh! It'll be figured out and dead within a year!"

Like Pearl’s offense is a disciplined machine.

Well they did average a whopping 0.7 ppg more than the Vols, while losing more games than the Vols, finishing lower than the Vols in SEC standings, and exiting the NCAA tournament before the Vols.

I mean, who wouldn’t jump at the opportunity!?

They do have a final four. 😭
