It will seriously blow my mind if Phillips puts his name in the draft and plays aaanytime soon.

Would he rather grind it out in the G-league or play here with some NIL?

If I had access to the tutors the athletes get, the training/nutrition plans, and big man on campus identity... I don't know if life can get much better than that.

I will gladly take classes if someone wants to pay me 300k to do it.

Not much of a secret that two pieces had to move before the others can be slotted in. These are player decisions. UT made the decision for other players. It's never easy when guys want to stay but don't have that opportunity. It's business mode for Barnes.

JJJ is the one I'm not sure about. I feel like Barnes wants him back, but I'm not sure if he's worth it with his knee injuries.
The main reason i think Barnes wants him back is his leadership.

Hell toss me 100k a year + all the SEC D1 benefits you mentioned and I'll stay in school 4 or 5 years.

I get why some of these guys think they need to move on so quickly, but to me if you've "made it" enough to be at this level in college it's worth waiting to get that free education in place. Life after sports is where most of the athletes struggle the most.

Not a huge fan of Harper getting an extension, hasn't done anything above and beyond with on court results and appears to be terrible at recruiting. Also last year's prized recruit is transferring out too. I feel like the brand and the NIL here is the only reason she's managed to land any quality portal players.

Personally I really hope Santi returns and has a killer season making a 3rd All SEC team and cements himself in the career record books as one of the best to ever play here.

Julian Phillips was a bit of a let down so I'm indifferent. I think Ledlum and/or Knecht either could offer the same sort of production he did and possibly more since each appears to have a more developed offensive game.

I'm ready to see more of the younger talent get minutes...so JJJ leaving is fine. Great guy and a true VFL, injuries never let him reach his full potential here.
