Right. It will be an advantage for a team that wants to run clock to counter our offense. Saban is for the rule and has made clear he plans to do that. His new ex-ND OC is to move in that direction.I've never met a single college football fan who complained about the average length of games. I'm sure there are a few out there, but I don't understand where this urgency is coming from around shortening the game.
I think it’s just bc games are running past their slotted spot…. They want to shorten the game to make it better for tv.Right. I don't see any other purpose but am open to suggestions.
It cannot possibly be about the length of games and also be an honest discussion because commercials and video reviews would have to be discussed. Similarly, it cannot possibly be about fans because fans complain exclusively about commercials and length of reviews, which are off the table. Whatever the reason is, it turns on advantage and disadvantage within the game itself and thus necessarily wants to appear to be about something else.
The net effect on the broadcast will be to increase the percentage of time devoted to commercials snd reviews.
That's kind of what I'm thinking. Seems like it will benefit teams that can score quickly.I think it’s just bc games are running past their slotted spot…. They want to shorten the game to make it better for tv.
I don’t know if it will be good or bad for us…. It will be much harder on other teams to come back from deficit than it will be for the VOLS.
I think the talking heads and NFL testing processing or IQ or whatever is a damn joke.
Hell you could test a dozen people in this thread alone that could score higher than Anthony Richardson and I bet not a damn one is even half the player he is.
POINTLESS
"Better for TV" is ambiguous. Worse for the fans because it increases the percentage of time devoted to commercials and long reviews. Better for the networks and advertisers maybe.I think it’s just bc games are running past their slotted spot…. They want to shorten the game to make it better for tv.
