Maybe I just understand these days,Tennessee recruits like hell to get these 4 and 5 star receivers from high school and they commit and then turn around and recruit over them in the portal.I understand the need but I dont understand recruiting over the likes of Nimrod,Webb ,Leacock and so on not enough footballs to go around all ready.Maybe I'm just use to the old way before the portal took over all college sports.Go Vols

Having hs kid that is trying very hard to get recruited rn heading into his junior year, the portal has basically killed hs recruiting unless your johnny 5 star with connections.

Just have to think of it as a constant revolving team. Some leave and some come in. You keep getting the best players you can continuously. It’s hard for me because I get attached. So try not to think of the “team” until after fall practice.

Is it wrong that I take in to consideration how far away from Vol Sports I'll be if I move to the State of Washington?

Wooof. I’d look at the new laws they are passing. Not getting into politics. One big one (not political), used to be if your child ran away from home to a safe shelter they had to call you. To say your child is there and safe. Not now.

What I've suspected. Guys haven't stepped up as leaders yet. Nice to get a big win and maybe this'll be the kick they needed.
