This isn't a leading question, genuinely curious. Has there ever been a qb who was average at best in college drafted in the top 5? I'm just trying to see if Levis will be the top 5 draft pick with the worst stats of all other top 5s.
What number did Daniel Jones go? Wasn't Josh Allen kinda meh in college? This isn't a leading question, genuinely curious. Edit: 5000 yds 44 TD 21 INTs for Josh Allen and Wyoming. Junior season only threw 1800 yards compared to 3200 as a sophomore. Went 10th overall.
Edit: Daniel Jones threw 8200 yards 52 TDs 29 INTs at Duke. Drafted 6th.
Allen definitely had a rough junior season. Maybe that's what all the GMs are thinking, he's the next Josh Allen, don't judge him because of his terrible team? I just don't see any part of his game that's on the level of Allen. And Wyoming was far worse than UK.What number did Daniel Jones go? Wasn't Josh Allen kinda meh in college?

Allen is bigger faster stronger and more accurate though. Levis is like a poor man's Allen, same style of qb, but worse than him at every single aspect. The big difference between the two years for Allen was the offense as a whole lost a bunch of offensive production including a 1300+ yard receiver. He also missed two games that year.
He’s still a pretty good comparison to Levis though. Stats aren’t that different and scouts love him for all the same reasons.

Ya, I can see that. But Allen was so much bigger, so much more accurate, and most of all a million times better at running the ball. His measurable and stats and film just screamed potential and you saw him prove it somewhat in college. Levis just didn't. Even his better junior year was below average. They can say he played in a pro style offense, so he wasn't going to put up yards. OK, how about the horrible TD/INT ratio? And 66% completion? For sure, but have to remember Allen had a lot of rough edges coming out of college too. Maybe not quite as rough as Levis, but Allen still didn’t set the world on fire his rookie year. More INT than TDs. Next year was a good bit better, third year was breaking out.
That’s the progression scouts think Levis can go too but Allen is the exception not the rule.
