I like Hyatt, he worked hard, improved, and helped us beat bama, so I don’t like playing devils advocate about him. But I totally understand why some people had doubts about how successful he would be at the next level. I think the distinction is that when the scheme broke down and it was up to the players to make something happen, guys like Tillman or Jennings made it happen. I just honestly don’t remember a time when Hyatt made a huge play and wasn’t wide open.Fair - but apparently Heupel's system put Tillman in positions where he had to moss guys and drag DBs, and it put Wright in positions where he had to stonewall everybody - which are activities that scouts seem to think translate to the next level. That's really my point. Just because someone is questioning Hyatt doesn't mean the entire system puts all players at a disadvantage (that's the inference some seem to be drawing...).
Anyway - Heupel's system clearly helped those guys, so I don't see why it wouldn't also help Jalin Hyatt. Hyatt can't help that he is so much faster than everyone else that he was constantly wide open. Plus, I do recall Hyatt making some catches in traffic and over the middle that were tightly contested...
BothIt's no different than going to the school that can give you the most grant money as a student. You're seriously clutching pearls over something that has nothing to do with you. These athletes went decades with having their identities stolen with no restitution. They're getting what they're worth in the free market now and you're butthurt about it. You either need to change your perspective or start donating more to the Tennessee NIL fund.
This^I’ve followed baseball for 50 years and your argument is old and tired. If you don’t like a guy celebrating after a big hit then be a better pitcher. Intentionally throwing a hard ball at someone because you don’t like them is a criminal offense anywhere else in our world. Baseball should eliminate intentionally hitting batters from the sport. IMO
For starters, this is where we stand. '24 - ★★★★★ Post April 2024 BoardSo I’ve basically checked out on football and basketball recruiting for probably the last 3 years.
Who are the big 4-5 players on our wishlist?

Thanks for the info, I’ll start researching and following these guys.Mike Matthews, Ryan Wingo, Williams Nwaneri, Sammy Brown, Kamarrion Franklin, Elijah Rushing, Eddrick Houston, Jerrick Gibson, Peyton Lewis, Jordan Ross, Kameryn Fountain, Jaden Reddell, Marques Easley, Daniel Calhoun, Brandon Baker, Caleb Odom, Nate Frazier, Daniel Hill, Boo Carter.
These probably the “big fish” names I hear people talking about hoping for the most.
Literally had a Comp Sci teacher at ETSU that told the class they'd spend their careers maintaining boring database programs and all the jobs were going abroad...right as the web and app areas were just beginning to POP. Scared a bunch of us off.Pretty sure I had him. Didn't learn a lick of history.

I saw a clam down there at least twice the size of the cherry desk standing in the mahogany air of your book-lined library. In Australia, the reef pulls you in and suffocates you, the small fish is being killed by the tentacle thingies that are also waiting to kill you, and the turtle is poisonous.

Who? This guy? I actually need to go back and reread a lot of stuff I read in my early to mid twenties. I keep waiting for my son to get old enough to pull one off the shelf. Ha!Yes yes yes.
