Australia also has a large number of the most poisonous species of snakes in the world.Well yeah you got pot smoking hobbits and wizards.
And a lack of one thousand different species specifically there to try and kill you. Australia is spider murderville. Plus the hoardes of Emus that once defeated the Australian military. No thanks.
I think he got tired of repeating himself over and over again to thick skulled Neanderthals and ditzy coeds who had no clue how to think and thought everyone should take their opinions as Gospel just because they had them. Definitely came across as arrogant but I credit him with one of a handful of professors that challenged my world view and had a lasting effect on my life.Yes. And yes, agreed. Bright teacher. It was enjoyable enough to want to audit. Like I said, great guy to have a beer with. Horses ass in class, but, its who he is. He's very transparent about it.
Go to etsu? I took logic and loved the class. Sounds like the same teacher. Also took philosophy as conversation with him too if it's the same guy.
And I liked the intentional debates in class. I learn better when my position is challenged.
Certainly taught to critically think for onesself.I think he got tired of repeating himself over and over again to thick skulled Neanderthals and ditzy coeds who had no clue how to think and thought everyone should take their opinions as Gospel just because they had them. My US History teacher's name was Dr Chen, was on loan from University of Beijing. Sat down, made it to first break, and dropped the class. I could not understand a word that poor man said, not his fault. I'm just hard of hearing I guess.Had one history professor at ETSU that sounds a bit like what you all are describing. Really liked to push different groups' buttons. And while not a philo guy, he tended toward philosophy. Basically shat on all religion when talking Deism and the founding fathers and physics.
My 2nd week at ETSU...he was teaching US History and told the class the main reason the KKK developed after mob lynchings in the south was due to penis envy. The audible gasps in the class were hilarious. And then the clearly SDE bubbas started trying to argue with him and got shut down real quickabsolutely hilarious class I'll never forget. I was crying laughing.
Sounds like my world history teacher I had there. Don't really remember much about my U.S. teacher except he hated George W. Bush. Funny the things that stand out.Had one history professor at ETSU that sounds a bit like what you all are describing. Really liked to push different groups' buttons. And while not a philo guy, he tended toward philosophy. Basically shat on all religious thought when talking Deism, the founding fathers, and classical physics.

Yeah my genetics teacher was the same. Understood every other word. I zoned out a lot in that class...My US History teacher's name was Dr Chen, was on loan from University of Beijing. Tiny lil Akaroa was the only French settlement in NZ. (Still does its best to feel Mediterrean.)I don't think most people realize this, but not all of Australia was used as a British penal colony. In South Australia, Barossa Valley was settled by free German immigrants, and McLaren Vale was largely settled by free Italian immigrants. There is a lot of great food in those areas.
Pretty sure I had him. Didn't learn a lick of history.Had one history professor at ETSU that sounds a bit like what you all are describing. Really liked to push different groups' buttons. Life on Colonial era Austrailia wasnt easy, in fact, I bet it being Penal was very hard.I don't think most people realize this, but not all of Australia was used as a British penal colony. I’m a vol fan so I could be biased, but I think they don’t get the questions because if you watch them play, they look like they would be successful anywhere. Tillman was mossing guys and dragging DBs down the field, and he has prototypical size. Wright stonewalled everybody and is huge.
On tape, Hyatt looks like a burner who is constantly running wide open dude to scheme. I don’t recall him jumping over guys or making crazy contested catches like Tillman. I think it’s fair to wonder if he would have put up those same numbers in a scheme that didn’t have him wide open all the time.
