I'm listening to Dan Martin right now. He's recounting the history of Japan's rise to power pre WWII. Agree about how horrible they treated the Chinese. Also it was such a heinously bad decision to sign on with the Axis powers. Heinously badWhat the Japanese did across China was just appalling and unspeakable. Good reason they are still strongly shunned across many Eastern regions.
It's wild to think of all the atrocities and treatment of people just 80 years ago across the globe and at home. And just 80 years before that we had literal slaves in our own country. It melts my brain.
And we still have many more ways to go, but a far better world than in the past. Global sunlight is the best of disinfectants. Among rising global literacy, less poverty, more freedom, more womens rights, less hunger, less slavery, things are getting there slowly but surely.
Same experience here with physics. Guy was asian with a very, very heavy accent. Rarely faced the class so it was always a pain to hear him and when we could, it was hard to understand him. Got the same guy in back to back quarters. Dropped each time and on the third go round, I got a prof I could hear and understand. They should have put that guy on TV like they did with Kleinfelter. Rather enjoyed the TV class and TA setup.Calculus for me. Only spoke 2 words of English.
āDo Thisā
When asked to explain why and how, the only response was āDo Thisā absolutely sure that she also only understood āDo This ā
Couldnāt have dropped the class any quicker.
Took me a while to get through Calculus because none of them spoke English.
Then I got lucky and found Wally. He was an actual American. He could explain the processes in English! Calculus still sucked but at least I knew why and how it sucked.
Iām still bitter about the weed out courses required for medical school: Calculus, Physics and Organic Chemistry. The courses were okay, but it was almost like UTK hired the worst professors to torture students with aspirations to go to med schoolā¦
My US History teacher's name was Dr Chen, was on loan from University of Beijing. Sat down, made it to first break, and dropped the class. I could not understand a word that poor man said, not his fault. I'm just hard of hearing I guess.
My daughter has had multiple sprained ankles and the athletic trainer recommended surgeryā¦.. That would put her out too long as this will be her last year playing college basketballā¦. She is in pain all the time especially with plantarflexion and inversionā¦ The trainer said that her ligaments have been over stretched too many timesā¦. Does anyone have any success with any strengthening exercises for that issue so she can alleviate the pain some?
bull sharks can swim over dykes and eat you in a swimming hole.
gold panning in the Outback, a small storm miles away can cause massive flooding that will carry you for miles.
That said, bucket list.
Took calculus at UTK and couldnāt understand a word the teacher said either. Luckily the Final was comprehensive. I was close to failing going in to it and pulled out an A, which is what he gave me for the class. I busted my ass studying for that Final.Calculus for me. Only spoke 2 words of English.

Thank you so muchFirst and foremost, get her an appointment with a fellowship trained Foot and Ankle Specialist (Orthopedic Surgeon). Donāt just depend upon the trainers opinion. I wouldnāt consider anything without an MRI. No ligaments need surgery unless they are a significant grade II or a definite grade III.
Did they try her in an ASO Speed Lacer ankle support? Get her one and see how she feels wearing it. It will protect her ankle from further injury and allow the ligaments to tighten up.
After the MRI, I would try PRP injections first. Could definitely help her heal. Must be from a doctor proficient with ultrasound to guide yhe needle to the correct areas. Beware of clinics thst only do PRP or STEM cell injections. Usually way overpriced and will inject whatever you want as they base medical need on your walletā¦
I think 9-3 is our floor but I donāt think people should base their feelings on how the season plays outā¦. 8-4 and even 7-5 can be acceptable depending on several factors that happen during the season. I donāt really care about grumbling bc I donāt think it will affect DWās decision making.I think this is definitely a legitimate concern after we arrived early and had a great season last year. Taking a step back after a great year does get the grumbling going. I still think we are in the 8-4, 9-3 range though and that really should be acceptable imo.
My wife was told this same thing through school. Should have done the surgery and regrets not doing it now. When just walking straight she rolls her ankles. When in school the best she could do is wear ankle braces. Best of luck to your daughter.
