The ACC sucked back then, more than it does now. So did the SEC East. Botch had an NFL roster, and still couldnt win it.

You’re comparing WINNING A DIVISION in a tougher conference to just being .500 in a much weaker one. That’s an absurd comparison.

I see how you draw that conclusion, because I responded to Capt Argument's post.

My point was to complain about Botch not getting it done. The ACC sucks now, and sucked then.

SEC is harder to win now than it was then. And Botch couldnt do it with an NFL roster.

Once you consider the market bakes in odds, assuming a strong form market, no bet is necessarily good or bad off the top, unless you actually have alpha in the market. Same as the stock market.

People will at the same time say UGA or Bama is a good bet, even if they're given terrible odds. As if these are straight-up bets.

It's all in the odds vs prediction. Maybe the colorado bets aren't terrible, but I'd still feel better at 500 or 1000:to:1. Tennessee has been 250:1 many, many times and I think we had more talented teams (granted much much worse schedules...Colorado's schedule is a huge plus for them). At the end of the day, CFB is so unique because it's so top heavy. I'll have to see one of these cinderellas actually win it to believe it, rather than stepping in the ring and losing 7-65 and whatever Mich St lost by in the semis.
