We are 25 years out from the Means stuff. NC, LSU, OSU...you name it, they get away with whatever they are doing by simply not complying. Over the last couple of decades that has been the NCAA modus operandi and the new order seems to be you are immune if you bring in enough money. I have very little confidence anyone in a position to do anything will care if a G5 school is getting screwed over by the blue blood P5 schools.

Regardless…it HAPPENED. After that USC happened, and the NCAA even overreached in that example. “No one cares” until it becomes a crusade and then everybody hops on. I’m not going to even attempt to coax you out of the fetal position…just explaining why I don’t share your viewpoint.

I'll be in Arlington, TX for 3 days in July. The Rangers will be playing at home, so I'm thinking of going to a game. Anyone ever been to the new stadium? Any specific seating area I should look for tickets?

Understand and I'm not in a fetal position. Just don't believe UGA, Bama, OSU, etc will get any comeuppance. Nothing over the last couple of decades suggests otherwise. Like it or not, certain teams have shown they are immune to rule breaking for the most part.

Yes. They were 4th before they won the SECT and stayed 4th after. Subjectively, they could've moved up a spot, but no harm, no foul on their seeding. The top 4 seeds are all elite teams. The controversy is Bama, a program that by no metric "earned" a 5 seed. Bama was 5th in the SEC, fighting to host a regional; they lost in the semis yet moved up to a national seed, leapfrogging other programs who were ahead of them and did nothing to move down. Bama was gifted a 5 seed and a laughably easy bracket. Their path to the WCWS couldn't be much easier, with or without Montana Fouts.

The LVs have had to overcome a lot. They were the 1 seed in the SECT, yet they were the only team that had to play twice in 12 hours, beating two ranked teams then turning around and playing a championship game less than 24 hours later. This taxed their pitching, but they overcame and won the title-- congrats to them! They, and other teams, have a tough regional draw while Bama has a cakewalk-- hence, my comment about hoping they can continue to overcome. Because they haven't been given anything-- they've gone out and earned it, like championship teams do.
