I missed UF and Bama, but got to soak up that win in person. Wasn't quite as hype as the other two but that was the most complete game I've seen the Vols play in a very long time.

That was such an awesome game. @InVOLuntary, @BaldBiker , and I were there. @BaldBiker was still trying to catch up with Shoeless Joe Jackson. Shoeless Joe owed @BaldBiker money, at least that’s what he told us. I think he was jealous that Shoeless Joe had asked out @Orangeredblooded before he could. I never found out if she actually went out with either one of them. She was like that pesky little sister that grew up before you realized it.

Played FB as a freshman, converted to LB. Was a great LB. Drafted by the 49ers he played 3 seasons and earned a Super Bowl ring. That Vols drubbing of Notre Dame in 1979 in Knoxville that he played a key part in is a classic.

RIP. I saw him play in Neyland in 1979.

Played FB as a freshman, converted to LB. Was a great LB. Drafted by the 49ers he played 3 seasons and earned a Super Bowl ring. That Vols drubbing of Notre Dame in 1979 in Knoxville that he played a key part in is a classic.

I bet that game will be pretty high on a particular list

I remember the Strip like that. It was a marvel.

It was still that way when I came back to games after I graduated - we parked behind a restaurant and paid for parking but got a drink voucher for two drinks!

Someone said it in a season retrospective, but the UK game was really the peak of the season. Not the best *moment* of the season, but the point at which things were clicking the most.
