That gif is hilarious.

That was such an awesome game. @InVOLuntary, @BaldBiker , and I were there. @BaldBiker was still trying to catch up with Shoeless Joe Jackson. Shoeless Joe owed @BaldBiker money, at least that’s what he told us. I think he was jealous that Shoeless Joe had asked out @Orangeredblooded before he could. I never found out if she actually went out with either one of them. She was like that pesky little sister that grew up before you realized it. 😂

Hiring coaches is always a crapshoot...we got lucky and hit on the right guys. I don't really buy the "it was DWs plan along"...I suspect that is a little revisionism or wishful thinking going on to make us trust DW and feel more secure in his leadership. I do think he is a really good AD whether he got lucky or not with the chain of events leading to hiring JH..
so I trust him to do a good job.

I hope I am wrong about all that, but it doesn't really matter if I am or not, because since we did end up with the right guys at AD and HC, I really don't care if it was luck or not.

If...big GIANT IF...he had hired Franklin....I was done until they were both gone. I wouldn't have been happy with TE either, but I would have hung around and gave him a chance.

Even if hiring JH was DW's plan all along, many things still have to work out. The reason why coaches can be a crapshoot is also based on the administration and support they get along with the school being the right fit. There have been very good coaches that underperformed at a school because of ancillary reasons- tough place to recruit, no support, starting dysfunctional roster that prevented program development, maybe even a sour relationship with an influential booster, egos, etc.

DW hired a great coach in JW, the roster had some talent that needed proper coaching, and DW has done everything in his power to support him. When everyone pulls together, it's a beautiful thing to watch.

He's actually a GSD, 9yo

started out as a tumor on one of his anal glands (expressing/maintaining those has always been a problem for him). started aggressive chemo treatment to see if we could shrink the tumor enough for surgery. did another ultrasound this week and that original tumor has remained the same size, and the cancer has spread to one of his lymph nodes. the dr said "we can start a newer kind of chemo with greater frequency and track it every other week (aka expensive ultrasounds and blood tests)"

I'm just not going to put him through that
😞 So sorry! Lost our 15yo GSD last August. Still not over it. Looking back, we should have let her go sooner for her sake, but my husband just couldn’t.

We lost our cool cat the other day. She was young and it was sudden. Very shocking.

Not a bad idea at all. I've kind of come around to the fact that we may just be in "keep him comfortable for as long as possible." Researching local vets to see what my options are. Thanks

He'd fight like hell to keep me healthy if it were the other way around, so I jumped into aggressive treatment headfirst. I feel like they're taking advantage of my optimism and giving me too many maybe's to trust that approach anymore.
Chemo isn’t easy on dogs. We thought the direction we went (which at the time we didn’t even know existed) was the more humane route, especially at her age. She was 12 at her diagnosis. In the end she was smiling and just happy to be with us. She even ate a carrot for me after not having eaten anything for 3 days. The vet did the injections at our home, so she didn’t have much clue as to what was happening.

I wouldn’t blame you for any choice you make. Losing a dog is one of the hardest things to navigate due to their unconditional love for you. Sometimes it’s harder than losing certain humans… Just do what feels right, spoil the heck out of em, and enjoy every moment through the end.

I don't think you ever do any research at all.
LOL, Where does one procure statistics such as this (other than at the CoK Clerks Office?)

I think the life experience of walking past those shitholes from 1994-2020 should suffice. (I would argue the strip had seen its better days).

Why did the City etc begin moving bars to Gay St? If the Strip were still thr darling, dont you think there would still be the Strip?

Whoever DW chose would have probably been the right guy…. Just like JH may have failed at several other programs….. All you have to do is look around at all of our other programs to see the difference that this administration is making…. We have become title town…. at least at the conference level… soon to be on the national level.

I would need to see what happened immediately before, but judging by that clip, if you examine the first second, it looks like whoever the guy is in the yellow jersey has his left arm wrapped around the other guy's arm and is holding him. Should have been called on the guy in yellow, if anything were to have been called.

I’ve bragged on my daughter here before and shared some of her art. Couple of other pieces below. She’s just so cool.

Edit: @Geaux_Vols - I meant to mention, she toured the new-ish art school at LSU and really liked it. The space there is nice. She’s a junior, so we have time before a final decision, but I anticipate she’ll apply there.
