I was in the process of leaving when the fumble happened. I had just left my seat in the upper deck and walked through the breezeway when I heard the roar. I ran back through the breezeway to see what happened. It was an amazing time. That game was over. All Arkansas had to do was not make a historically stupid mistake --- and they did.
Most amazing turnaround for me.
Never doubted. Never contemplated leaving. I didn’t know how they would do it, but I knew that we were going to win.
Totally sober. I prefer to watch the games that way, couldn’t remember a great game because I was drunk. Couldn’t stand the feeling of others talking about the great plays and all that I could remember was screaming.
Not again. Much prefer memories of the games. In the words of @Weezer, I don’t judge others for their decisions, but alcohol and Vols games don’t mix for me.
The kiffin/dooley/pruitt years were especially rough. Butch started off with hope and then crashed and burned so badly. Those were the drinking years.
The CJH years are going to be so glorious that I want to remember every second of every single game.
Like this year’s
