Help a guy out who isn't a baseball guy. To me it's like saying in football "no one cares how hard you hit if you don't wrap up and the guy gets away".
In little league…. It turns into teaching kids to slow down their mechanics/ aim the ball to just throw strikes. I get in arguments with coaches that I help coach with all the time…. They tell me that they would rather lose giving up hits than walks… I tell them that I would rather win….Teach kids to throw as hard as they can(not over throw) and become a pitcher. My son is playing All-Stars…. He is a pitcher/Catcher…. Our number 4 starter told my son he has four pitches…. Fast ball…. Change up…. Curveball… and a fast fastball…. My son asked what a fast fastball is and I told him that it is just a fastball that he actually pitches… it is so hard to change that thought process as the get older.

If you throw 102 mph but walk the guy? Might as well throw 70.
Agree my oldest was in volleyball her whole life and could slam it with the best of em.It took her a long time to understand power vs control.I used to tell her it doesn't matter if u serve at 60mph if u hit ur grandma in the 5th row everytime. You can have all the power in the world,if u can't control it its useless..

I was surprised to learn the Braves are the "home team" even in Charlotte when I moved there. It makes sense geographically but still seemed odd for Charlotte to root for an Atlanta team!
Another city that should probably have an MLB team instead of....Milwuakee...

It can't be. There are too many fans in the recruiting forum saying that every recruit we don't get is because we got outbid on NIL. We all know that once something is said on Volnation, it is 100% fact.
We also say that there are only 17 people donating to Spyre. Yet every kid that can do a push up on a college campus gets $10,000 in NIL
