Some Florida QB intel from Bud Elliott of 247/Noles:

"Florida wanted to get Michael Pratt, QB from Tulane, that's pretty well known in the industry, but he ended up staying at Tulane. Then they were in a position where they had to get someone to go out and start. I don't know if I would trust Jack Miller, I don't think he's a guy that can play in the SEC. If they really thought he could, would you go out and get Mertz? I am skeptical. Reports out of Florida about Mertz have been mostly mixed so far, to put it kindly. I mean, he's Graham Mertz."

Also mentioned some OL concerns that they have.

I will have to trust you on that one….

You don't have to trust me. It can be verified. There are only about 20 schools total (many seminaries) that are 100 percent private. The moment a university takes federal funds they become subject to Title IX and the Clery Act (to name 2 that would apply in this case). Those laws require universities do a number of things on condition of accepting those funds, including reporting, disclosure, investigations, stated policies etc.

Even though FOIA doesn't apply directly to private universities, it does apply indirectly. So what I mean is... a school like Vanderbilt isn't subject to the general public's FOIA *but* it is subject to filings with the federal government which have to be made to keep accepting federal funding. So if you want to know, you can FOIA those filings after the government gets them (you ask the IRS for them instead of Vanderbilt whereas in UT's case you'd just file the FOIA with them). Additionally, the Clery Act and Title 9 have to be followed on things that relate to crime by any uni that takes federal dollars. So in UT's case, you want to know how many rapes were reported on campus all you have to do is ask. Vandy can be shadier but they still have to track and keep those stats. They report it to the feds who you can then request it from.

Does Napier only have Louisiana connections in terms of football? I know a lot of LSU fans thought highly of him but LA kids are hard to get out of LA, especially when LSU is good and going for someone at Tulane sorta indicates he's mining his LA connections.

It really feels like UF isn't supporting Napier and hasn't from the start. They undercut the QB he wrapped up and he keeps getting beat out on guys that UF wouldn't lose out to if those involved in UF football's recruiting aspects were actually on board with him. Mullen was a poor recruiter but he landed guys when he had support. I think UF has bigger problems internally than people realize. They were on the same cycle of hiring and firing coaches that we were but we were a much bigger trainwreck and got all the attention on that front. They were also able to post some divisional wins (thanks to Butch and SC) despite not being that good and that made them look healthier as a program than they were.

I think they have a ton of dysfunction internally that has been masked by having so much in-state talent but the longer Foley has been away from the helm, the more the cracks have expanded in their AD.

Is anyone else still experiencing issues with pages loading slowly? I don't seem to be having issues with anything else, just Volnation.

No issues for me. Did have this auto refresh issue that looks to of went away hopefully

For those of you familiar with how Draft Kings, etc. works.

I'm considering placing a Heisman bet. They have the promo where you get bonus money ro bet. Tell me if I'm understanding this correctly.

I place a $20 bet.
They then give me $200(?) bonus to bet.
I can put that $200 also on a Heisman bet.
Win or lose, I don't get the bonus money back.
If I win with the bonus money, I can pocket the winnings.
Not required to make any other bets.

Is this how it works?
