Honest question for you Braves fans….HTF did they only win 1 WS???
Best trio ever.
Had great pitchers, but people like Sid Bream, Rafael Belliard, Mark Lemke out there for defense. I think Terry Pendleton was one of our best hitters one year. David Justice-- usually only had one really reliable bat. Compare that to the Braves now-- they have it all.

We’ve won 18/26 games the past two years, better than Butch and Cornbread, yet they both constantly had top 10 classes
Constantly?
I don’t know about that but
As you can see those classes weren’t that good looking back at it

We’ve won 18’in two years and we’re recruiting against gems with numerous nattys and double digit win season

Gotta keep winning

There has been times when I've turned down the sound, but it's usually when we are being slaughtered. (I actually don't like the announcers who slobber all over the VOLS either-- Just call the plays) I will say the Vern announcement of the Dobb Nail boot was certainly much better then Bob Kesling's "what a turn of events". I also didn't think they sounded bias watching the repeat last night.. In fact seemed pleased that the game was so much fun.
I think that was influenced by the unavoidable circumstance that we took a 28-10 lead. 😂

I still can’t believe that Bama game. When we set the ball on the turf to go down 49-42 I thought it was over, but somehow it wasn’t. All the kicks to the groin over the decade-plus of misery, the fact that the Bama game was an exercise in futility every year since Saban had been there except for 2009 and 2015 when we at least got close…that the Vols pulled it out was so cathartic, like letting out 15 years of frustration and agony for one glorious moment.

That last drive to tie it up with two critical pass interference calls was unreal. Those things never happened before.

I had this poster, or one pretty similar to it back in the day

they could have ruled the 90's

96 obviously was very close, but 97 and 98 could have been special. 99 sucked, freaking yankees.

My point exactly! Along with Jeff Blauser and Sid Bream. Buncha gamers, but not foundational players. The World Series winner had David Justice…which was more like it.
I think the Lead off was Otis Nixon-- He was fast but not really a whole lot of great hitters-- We had Justice, Pendleton -- McGriff at one time, Gant, Klesko. All these weren't at the same time, either. They truly depended on those starting pitchers. Even the bull pen was blah. Remember Wohlers losing his mind and couldn't throw anymore? Throwing it 10 feet over everyone's head?

Tough choice. Oppenheimer helped give us the most horrfying weaponry known to man. Barbie eventually led us to the Kardashians. I can't decide which is more destructive.

Both seem to be getting a ton of hype and as good as Robbie and Gosling might be, I'm a Christopher Nolan nut at heart. For my money, give me Oppenheimer in a real IMAX theatre.

I have no idea why anyone would want to see Barbie or what on Earth made Gosling want to do the film. (I've heard it's somewhat subversive but I haven't looked into it all that much). Oppenheimer, otoh, looks great and I have a personal connection to it so that would be my choice. I'm also curious to see what all Oppenheimer goes into because there's more to it that "I am become death, destroyer of worlds" which most Americans probably don't know is actually a quote from the Bhagavad Gita.

Mizzou loss would be unexpected but 9-3 isn’t a bad prediction overall
And I think this may be the most likely sort of outcome. Lose one that is unexpected out of the grab bag of ~5 teams that could potentially catch us sleeping. I still think Joe's ceiling is even higher than HH's...but also think his lows could be lower. He's human. HH almost wasn't.
