AD Gragg probably has his walking papers being overnighted. . .

At this point, how could anyone give him a vote of confidence? You have 2 separate programs where the coaches are accused of presiding over absolutely toxic environments that are damaging to student athletes in multiple ways and damaging to the student body and university more broadly. He might've done everything else right and may not have known anything was wrong but the issue is that he should've known that both programs were having internal problems and been working to find solutions before they escalated to the levels they did. With football... that had to be going on for many years so it's either years of not doing anything or years of not paying attention. Neither is an acceptable answer for an AD.

Possibly. Or reading into it decades of experience. "We've reported this to our ceo" is not the typical post toward someone you're trying to remove a post.

Having been a CEO for over three decades I actually value employees who care enough about my company to let me know what's going on. Guess our experiences are different.

Interesting tidbit. Seems like Chattanooga was 615 until the 90s, when they created 423 from scratch.

Anyone else remember that?

Damn…all the way out here in OKC this question reminds me I’m pure Tennessean. We had 3 area codes. When they went to 4, Knoxville got the one that spells VOL. My original area code shifted west to the same town that stole the claim to capital of Tennessee.
I also remember the old license plates that started with a number based on county population. Shelby, Davidson, etc.

I thought the entire state was 423 then Memphis got 901 then Nashville got 615 then Knoxville 865 and now the tri cities are getting a new area code but I don't remember what it is

Knoxville and Chattanooga were 615 at least from the 70s.

Edit: I just looked it up and forgot we went through a 423 phase. Those were my wasted years though.

Moving to the Memphis area in 1984, I’ve always only known 901. I looked it up- 901 was originally the entire state for a few years until the eastern 2/3 of the state got 615. 901 was West TN for 47 years until the rural areas got 731.
