I’m in trouble for Christmas…. We had to replace our refrigerator and also bought a new big screen TV…we agreed not to buy each other anything…. I fussed at my wife till Christmas Day not to spend any money on me…. We opened all the presents and I told my daughters that I thought we may have forgotten couple presents…. They went to the bedroom and brought out 6 presents I had purchased for my wife.

To be fair we have said similiar things before both of heups seasons. Go back and read. It was all of us too. Remember when the OL was completely awful? Remember when Mays was too small and not the best returning Center in the league next yr? Remember when Darnell wasn’t a top 3 round pick? how about when Cedric had 8 career catches in 3 yrs then caught 60+ for over 1000 in Heups first yr? or when Hyatt caught like 20 balls in 2021 and probably dropped 10+ ? Or when Hooker signed under Pruitt and the world thought he was trash. Or when Fant was here for half a decade before Heup utilized his skillset? I can keep going.


This group can flat coach and develop so relax.

Yeah.......but when "I" look at our depth chart and when "I" look at the transfer portal and when "I" blah blah blah. Some people just have to look for how they can see pitfalls and tell us how to fix them. They have to be real. I am over here realizing I don't know 1% of what actually goes on behind the scenes with the players and coaches and therefore it seems best not to solve equations with most of the formula missing. I just sit over here and enjoy what is obviously a well- coached team that is easy to like and fun to watch. But that's just me.

When the younger generation has TN heroes that make them feel this way, you know we're heading in the right direction. I'm so thankful for Josh Heupel and the 2022 edition of the TN Volunteers football team. That boy looks at Hyatt like I looked at Andy Kelly when I was young. TN Heroes and what they accomplished on and off the field live forever.

I didn’t realize Blueprints was about WWI. I’ll be checking that out after the Japanese series.

WWI is a major era I’ve studied for years. Many would be surprised how this vastly under discussed time period shaped the entire history of the world since. Then again, that’s precisely the reason it’s not discussed IMO…

What's really interesting is going into the 1800s Europe and what led to WW1. It took decades and decades to come to that precipice. Much to do with the Germanic and Slavic states...nationalism and racialism at its heart.

You could probably go back to 1880 and tweak a few things and avoid all of WW1...WW2...Hitler...and much more.
