Honestly 8-4 would be considered a let down this year, theres not a likely scenario where we lose a non conference game, if we do then that’d be a real disappointment, and honestly 4-4 in conference play would be disappointing too. I think 9-3 and 10-2 is a reasonable floor/ceiling

Have to consider injuries and how many and when. Of course it would be disappointing to have that many effect games.

Exactly! Last year I had a family reunion(My aunt, who is a big Tennessee fan, thought it was okay since TN played on Thursday. What? The first day of college football in months???)…..wedding shower…..a wedding (AL game…I did not feel good. I didn’t. I was a nervous wreck.)……..birthday party (grandson’s. UTM. Had to miss the 2nd half.)……and then there were all the football games to see my granddaughter cheer (an hour away! And she didn’t even enjoy it!).

I really feel empathy for the 4 PAC 12 schools being in he current bind. Leaders of those institutions are having to make an urgent sound decision in the next couple weeks, due to this being the last season of the PAC 12 as is before being reduced to 4 schools.

Realignment used to be fun to talk about but the direction CFB is heading in is depressing.

Let’s talk about how long this last before they become one big conference that divides up into regions???

Hmm…I do the science thing for a living and I can muddy the waters here because there is no such thing as irrefutable empirical evidence. Science is a methodologically constrained means to constantly update and refine our limited and provisional understanding of the material manifestation of phenomena, not a means to final truth.

Now back to football…would it be awesome if we landed Nwaneri? Aren’t we stoked about our new found depth on defense? Is local media overblowing the o-line concerns? Will Milton win the Heisman?

I get that, and it is true to some degree. But at the end of the day, we’ve had the same S&C coach for three years and have had time to build depth. Either way, if we do go 8-4 or worse it will really kill the momentum we have, but hopefully we won’t have to worry about it

Maybe we're all just looking to make a mountain out of a molehill? Cooper was out some last year and we did ok managing without him. Of course, every team tends to be better off with it's chosen seasoned starter but him being out a little bit may not be as horrible as everyone thinks, especially since we have all camp to prep the backups with 1st team reps.

It's not ideal but it's not nearly as bad as losing your center in the middle of the season and trying to catch someone else up to speed.

I see some concern about OL from some individuals, Tennessee has 3 returning starters or part time starters in Mays, Spraggins and Crawford. Also have the transfer from Florida Mincey who should improve and then Karic and Campbell have been added and have experience playing at other schools. Nichols should be better an adequate as a backup plus some others where is the concerns???

I think it’s already happening. The SEC and Big 10 are becoming the minor league version of the AFC and NFC. They’ll have a playoff and then the winner from each conference plays for the natty.
