"I didn't see it. We had afternoon meetings that day and he said 'hey coach did you know I threw an orange 110 yards today?'. I said why did you do that Joe? He said they were filming a video thing. I said 'ok, we should probably stop doing that now'. I didn't know he was doing it. No one told me about it. I don't think he can throw his arm out." -- Halzle said laughing a bit.

Vols should have the QB advantage against Clemson's freshman. Milton has spent five years learning from Harbaugh and Heupel. He has the skills. He hits throws in practice. He has shown he can hit deep in games. He can scramble. Now's the time to show he's the guy. He does that, Vols win. He struggles, it's a problem.

Hope so, but we will see Friday night.

Not Banks' choice, nor the coach's. He's ineligible to play.
that's a good point

man he really fumbled the bag at the end here. i won't say it's as bad as throwing away his 2nd chance opportunity here completely, but the wheels really fell off here at the end. I don't know if he realizes it yet (I'm sure some coach(es) have told him), but he cost himself millions.

Very unfortunate. Both parties would have benefited from him playing. But... next man up.

How did he cost himself millions…. He was never predicted to be a high draft pick and nfl won’t care that he was academically ineligible…. Still should have gotten his degree when given this opportunity.

Don't know the details but if he's academically ineligible as has been said on here, then to me it kinda was J Banks' choice.

Some kids just don’t get it and never will. Also, it’s a slap in the face of teammates that do what they are supposed to and some think they are special. Just how it is.

He was getting 5th round grades on average. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the 7th or undrafted.

I can't say anything, it's not like I made straight A's (until my last year, anyway). Just disappointed that we won't get to see him out there.
