101 peeps def. have a fun/wild side. Mom always said my dad partied out of college and into the war - which he did. And of course this is a group known for jumping and rappelling out of helicopters. 🤣 He wound up making 1st Sgt. before all was said and done but there's a mystery I've yet to solve. Mom never mentioned anything about the Rangers but where he went to train lined up with them but of course back then 101 training was very similar to Ranger training. The Army at that time re-organized the Airborne and there was a lot of change going on. But when she was showing me one of his uniforms it had a Ranger patch -- I'd like to know the story behind that but mom doesn't know anything and he died shortly after I was born. I need to file a formal request for his records but I couldn't do that for the longest time.

My parents stayed in Dickson, TN when he was at Ft. Campbell. They absolutely loved the area and I've heard enough stories to know they had some wild times (which always blows my mind because my mom isn't the wild type but my dad def. was). When he was in HS and saw my mom who had just graduated (he was my aunt's age and 4 years younger than my mom), he had his entire family lie to her about his age so he could convince her to date him. I asked Mom, "didn't you think it was odd that he was your age but still in HS?" and she said, "well, he was a football player so I thought he was just you know..." 🤣
If he had the patch, he went through and graduated from Ranger school. Very challenging course.

I love the media narrative around this will be the year they all figure out Huepel's offense.

Just admit it's good and hard to stop.

They keep calling it a one-read offense - just not true at all. Almost every route is a choice route and yes, sometimes the read is only on one side of the field but it has multiple options.

And here is the only thing that matters... everyone now knows what the offense is and what it does... okay, cool, so you figured it out... but can you stop it?

@InVOLuntary I received my starlink package today. I got it all set up and after 5 minutes I'm already receiving 115 MBPS. It's not in the best location for the dish, but good enough for me.
I was only receiving 4 MBPS with my old internet, I live in a rural area. I'm very happy with Starlink so far.
How much is it? My in laws are farmers with no local internet and I was going to recommend it to them.

We were very fortunate to get to play/practice at Cole Park Golf Course at Fort Campbell from my freshman year(88) to '91. When the Gulf War started, non military personnel couldn't get on base.
We got to play with several soldiers on weekends. They were so much fun to play with. Great times.
A very good friend of mine has been involved with a group who take military personnel on duck hunting trips for years. Sometimes he can show us pictures/videos and sometimes they’re active duty special forces so he can’t 🫡❤️

The narrative also relies on everyone forgetting that Heupel coached here the year prior to last season. Last year's offense was more complex in the sense that it was year 2 of the system and the playbook was more open but not so dramatically different from the offense we ran the year prior (the basics - the speed with which we operate, the wide sets, the runs, and the reads were all essentially the same and those are supposedly the things that give us an advantage). IOW, opponents should've known last year and had it figured out given that they'd seen it the year prior.

They're all pretending year one never happened in order to push that narrative. However, the offense last year was essentially the same one as the year prior. It was simply more effective and refined.

I had 100mbps for a long time. It was more than enough for my house. Have about 350/s now and don't notice a big difference from 100, honestly.. . . 4mbps? Was that like dial-up speed?

I only recently found out my grandpa was an all American, and it took some researching to find out for sure. That generation of military people weren't open about that stuff it seems, or their family members just didn't ask for details lol.
