Did you not ever actually walk around anywhere in the park?...jeez man the tour companies disgorge 5-7 bus loads of foreigners at a time every freaking day at several of the biggest spots like Old Fauthful-Grand Prismatic-Canyon overlooks-Norris-Lower and Upper Geyser Basins and Mammoth.i really dont. that is too bourgeoisie for me. I worked at YNP Lodge, the blue collar area. Mostly bikers, RVers, and like minded folk. And marmots. Lots and lotd of marmots
The Tetons are magnetic...you can't stop looking at them from anywhere you are in the 50 mile long valley. The dramatic rise of the Tetons from the wide flat valley and the beautifully jagged, yet almost perfectly somehow symmetrical ridgeline is just...magnetic.That third photo, wow. Thought Tetons were the pinnacle, but Glacier looking pretty phenomenal.
employees usually do their own thing. we had access to places no one goes. stayed in employee dorm, drank and ate in employee bar and mess hall.Did you not ever actually walk around anywhere in the park?...jeez man the tour companies disgorge 5-7 bus loads of foreigners at a time every freaking day at several of the biggest spots like Old Fauthful-Grand Prismatic-Canyon overlooks-Norris-Lower and Upper Geyser Basins and Mammoth.
Magnetic is a good word to describe it. They just sort of draw you in as you drive through the valley. The Tetons are magnetic...you can't stop looking at them from anywhere you are in the 50 mile long valley. Just spent 2 days in Glacier NP and am still processing the grandeur of that place. Bucket List item without a doubt, Uncle Uly.

I can't wait...but I feel the same way about Crater Lake-Olympic-Mt Ranier-North Cacades National parks in Washington-Oregon. North Cascades may very well be the most underrated of all the National Parks imo.Tetons are phenomenal. Everyone must see Glacier NP before they die though.
that is a multi trip deal, there clark.Definitely on my bucket list! Gorgeous!
Best trip of my life me and a buddy hit the road at 18 and headed west.
3 weeks, 10,000 miles driving,
Badlands
Mount Rushmore
Yellowstone
Oregon coast then all the way down highway 1 and 101
Redwoods
Sequoias
San Fran
Yosemite
Grand Canyon
Wish I could have seen Glacier and Jackson Hole area.
