Tomato, mayo and bread is the beginning of a sandwich that is desperately in need of, at a minimum, some bacon (and possibly other things as well).

Not if the tomato is a good ol home grown East Tn one.

And add a slice of one to a Pals hotdog with a Peachy Tea light ice, extra peachy to wash it down.

Well yeah? There’s a reason he’s AVAILABLE. 😉Won 9 games two seasons in a row. Last 3 seasons weren’t exemplary but 44-44 AT NORTH TEXAS? That’s successful.
Evidently the North Texas powers that be didn't think 44-44 was successful

Tbf we were technically at a 46 or 47% BCR iirc. Granted, it was a complete and utter lie considering all of those bluechip 2019 guys left...but alas the official BCR calculation is extremely rough and dirty, on purpose, and yet still undefeated.

I only remember that because the guy that created the BCR once predicted that, eventually, some team would break the undefeated BCR streak. And this team would have a few traits 1) elite QB play, 2) high 40s BCR and 3) some good luck...or destiny if you will.

I was astounded how we seemed to fit that mold, or I really wanted us to at least haha. We didn't have any special luck after all. But otherwise we really fit the kind of team that would do it. TCU showed exactly why even a really lucky team with an elite QB will fall short with such a massive talent gap once they faced UGA...no chance.

Jmo but we could still easily be "that team" the next year or two. After that I predict we'll officially join the ~10-15 team "BCR CLUB" for the first time ever. That's wild, really, when you think about it. These last 15 years, since the BCR has been around, have been pretty damn pathetic. Heupel is the blessing we deserved.

Yeah I like the modified BCR that takes attrition into account. It’s important when your roster gets so depleted after something like the Pruitt fiasco.

I can’t wait to see what Heupel can do with a 50-60% BCR.

To be fair, @InVOLuntary needs to get in the trenches and stop eating caviar and drinking fine wines from his giant boat while his employees build.
It always tickles me when I see people disparage business owners. When I started this company, we didn't have employees. Me, my dad and another guy did all the construction except for the metal fab and welding which was significant. I hired a guy that would come after he got off his regular job to do that work. So, I would work helping build from 8-4 then help him from 4 to10 or 12. This wasn't a week here or there it was constant for months. Now running a business involves more than just building, you have to do the design work, ordering material, paying bills, handling the taxes as well as marketing and sales. Much of that fell to the weekends. I would never ask my employees to do something I wasn't willing to do myself but if I asked my employees to do what I do, they'd be gone by the end of the day.

I'm on call 24/7. I get calls from customers all the time. I got a call a few years ago from a customer on a Sunday evening at 10:00PM. He said his black tank was smelling. I said Ron, buddy, you realize there is **** in that tank and it's going to smell. If it's worse than usual, you need to add more chemicals. Also, Ron, what could I possibly do to help you with your smelly tank at 10:00PM on a Sunday night. He politely said you're right, we'll talk later.

I've got a good group of guys. Need a couple more. They are well compensated but I have no benefits. They have no paid vacation or health insurance. We used to have health insurance but obama care made that all but impossible to keep. I've had to educate them about benefits though. I had a guy that I really wanted to keep. He came to me and told me he was taking another job. I said why. He said they had health insurance and paid vacation. I said hiw much more are you making? He said the same. I said well you are due a raise here. He said what about the insurance and paid vacation. I said get your insurance through Obama care and I'll pay 50% which would amount to under $1/hr. He said what about vacation? I said I'll give you a raise of $2.00 for vacation. He said that wasn't the same. I said are you sure? He said yes, it was less money. I said get the ef of here, your not smart enough to work for me. He turned down a net of almost $8,000 a year to go to another company. (He's since left that job too 😅).

As to the insurance my employees would have to pay almost twice as much if we added it vs going through the exchange and that's with me paying half of their premium and none would agree to take it.

The delusional always believe they deserve better. Let’s see how quickly they fire his replacement after not making the CFP. You’re in this area but have managed to forget when his name was floated for several jobs. Neither here nor there on how he would coach TE’s.

We got to sing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" with Harry Caray twice that day !!!! The first game he was fine by the second game me, him and we had consumed several !!!! GREAT TIME !!!!
How amazing is it that you can just meander down the concourse and end up watching the opposition bullpen screwing around behind strong plexiglass. A little girl was taunting the Pirates and the dude chucked a ball right off the glass. Scared the business out of her . He then laughed, walked to the glass, kisses his hand and put it against the glass. She did too. It was awesome. Wrigleytown is legit. Chicago was so fun minus the crackheads. Chicago is the perfect example of a city that could be the best ever with proper leadership. Instead, it hovers on being one of the worst.

I have no problem with my taste being different than others. And I understand some people love a fresh cut tomato on white bread with mayo and salt.

But what I will not stand for is for anyone to try and sell the belief that a slice of fruit on plain white bread with ONLY mayo is the best sandwich on the planet?!? YOU ARE DEAD TO ME!!!
That tomato better have Sicilian olive oil, fresh mozzarella, sea salt, oregano, and slightly toasted sliced baguette.

But they are not just smoking hot, they have great flavor. A lot of people think that habanero is the same. They’re not.
I made a sauce of habaneros and a mango a few months back. I think I'll try scotch bonnet next time, based on your recommendation. Might look into Grace's.

Edit: I got the recipe from @butchna.

Yankee stadium is a good trip as well. I don’t like the Yankees but the mini museum (monument park) is really cool.
I hate the Yankees. The old stadium was amazing. Been there often. My cousin worked for them. New York is awesome. The blue collar New Yorkers have a pride that is unique. Great place to visit and amazing food. Also, the LOVE a southern accent.

Great post. All the behind the scenes of being a small business owner is brutal. The first year of mine I thought I was going to go crazy. Lawyers here, CPA’s, audits, accounts payable/received, payroll (1099 employees thankfully), legal issues. Sometimes you just sit back and think to yourself, “maybe going back to working for someone won’t be too bad” haha.

I love when some make blanket statements that management needs to go through what our employees go, not taking in account that a lot is started there. I know exactly what every employee that works for me does and I fill in from time to time to keep me reminded. Hell no, I will not go down to what they make. I started there plus I have a hella lot more responsibility and I built myself. They should also. It only took me 13 months because I was focused and knew where I wanted to be. If a person has enough drive, they can do the same.

I’m 59 years old and weigh what I did in high school. That wasn’t always the case. I made the lifestyle choices of giving up sodas (they’re disgusting), don’t eat fast food, there’s a reason why it’s so cheap. I really started watching what I was putting in my body. If you do it right, your body will go through a cleanse every two weeks of getting rid of the impurities.

Yep, soda may be the worst legal thing everyone can put in the body.
