What can I say, she is the best UT fan/ girlfriend a guy could hope to find! Also Tuesday was her birthday and I wasn't able to see her so I got to make up for it guys :)

Great Recruiting Questions and Answers on VQ...discusses numbers remaining, which positions are priority, ect.

Questions
1) What's the absolute number that can be taken in this class 25? I assume after last year there are no back count spots.

2) With the class almost complete how do you see the class filling out in terms of position (no names please just positions) i.e. 4 DT, 3 DE, 5 OL etc.

3) How many kids legitimately have a "we will hold your spot until and possibly past signing day" offers who are not currently on the commit list? Again just numbers please.

4) Do you see the staff being done at any particular positions and what positions would you say are "done" right now?

5) Are there any positions that are being recruited particularly hard right now and how would you rank the positions recruited the hardest to least hardest with 1 being the highest priority (i.e. DE 1 . . . Offensive Guard 10 & done)

Brent's Answers
1. They can't sign more than 25 unless they are going to blueshirt someone and count them forward. They can't backcount anyone.

2. I think they would like to close with a linebacker and a rush end for sure. I think things with change as we saw some last year so I don't know what the specific numbers by position are going to be.

3. probably 3 or 4

4. I don't see how they have more room at running back. I don't see them taking another tight end and I don't see them getting another quarterback and no more kickers.

5. Linebackers and defensive end would be the top two positions in my opinion. Now they are recruiting the heck out of Drew Richmond on the offensive line and Jefferson at wr. But based on position linebacker and a speed rush end.

My Thoughts

1. Interesting to me that Brent said 25 and not 24. Also interesting that he mentioned Blueshirting unprompted. Makes me think Bruce, Lovingwood or the Punter may be on that track.

2. Sounds like they feel good about where they are at DT (Tuttle) and WR (Jefferson). If LB and DE are the priority left.

4. Really sucks about Love...maybe he is saying no more room as in they can only take 2...Reid for Love trade if it came down to it? Not sure what is the right play there.

I would say Richmond, Sapp, Jefferson, and Tuttle. I would love to imagine signing Sweat, that would be awesome, but I don't think it will happen. I'm still a bit worried about Richmond as well... hopefully they play well enough once the season gets underway to keep the ones they have, and to lock up these last 3 or 4. Have to trust in Butch I guess...But for now Sweat seems like a stretch to me, unless they pull off a miracle and win 8 or 9 games.(We can dream a little I guess, nothing wrong with that!)

Awesome pics. The one with just the silhouette of Croom standing there is awesome. Looks almost cartoonish, like a superhero/transformer or something; he's so huge

Love seeing the camaraderie and such with the dance off and donut eating contest, etc.

I am so ready for some football!!!

In those pics though I noticed it identified the position of the players in the pics (I.e. Offensive lineman Mack crowder, etc). But it didn't list one for Jashon Robertson. Has it not been decided which line he will be on? Was it not OL?

I still think we will be a major factor for at least 1 or 2 more elite guys til NSD. Maybe sweat, south, or possible getting someone to flip like Lawson in 2013

Idk that we get those elite guys, but I expect butch to have us in there like the last two years

Is a healthy Lane better than Neal last year?

Reports on Lane have been really good. Obviously Hurd will get some burn too, but the above is an important question.

Reading about Chuckie Keeton on Basilio's blog this morning got me doing some research on him. He looks pretty nasty.

Ain't no sunshine on this schedule. That's for sure.
