I think 6-6 or 7-5 this season for sure. I would say 7 wins minimum including bowl game.
I'm with you. Coming out of spring I was thinking 6 wins would be tough. I'm feeling a little better now. The buzz on Worley and Hurd has me quietly optimistic our offense is going to surprise people. And some of these newly added freshmen defensive players appear ready to contribute early. Still think the O Line will be an adventure but I'm pretty confident we get a bowl game this year.
I think we torch USU and Arky State. It will be tough sledding for a bit after that, but I think we grab another USCe-type upset somewhere along the way. And I think we clean up and clinch a bowl sometime in November.
Unless Gurley is injured again, I just don't see it. You're right though, their defense is in shambles from all the off field stuff. I think their entire starting secondary is gone, not some front 7 guys.
When I really hit the koolaid, I can convince myself 8-4 can happen... But I'm aware that's not very likely. I will say, if 8-4 were to happen, Butch would lock up a number 1 class in the nation for 2016.
Im expecting a surprising passing offense, maybe not because the quarterbacks, but we have multiple guys that can turn those 7 yard slant passes into 25+ yard gains. We finally have homerun threats in multiple people. I think that wins us at least one big game.
Fun to think about but Georgia's my pick in the East. Been a bad offseason for sure but they are loaded relative to the rest of the East.Floyd will wreak havoc off the edge against our inexperienced tackles, but I think Butch will have an answer for that by leaving his TE or RB in to help pass protect. These wide receivers can get open against that secondary with only 4 running routes. Plus, we will be coming off a bye week. I see the same thing happening from last year at home, but this year it's on the road. Play a tough game against OU on the road but lose by single digits; week off; upset Georgia the following week on the road.
Ok I have to get back to tempering my expectations now. Drinking too much of the orange Butch-aid!

I'd love for you to be right but, how'd we do on the road last year?
Just read this. I don't like butting heads with people, but I don't disrespect people and I don't really appreciate the disrespect from other people aimed at me.
My only statement was basically "I dont understand what he just said."
Until I figured it out...I didn't voice my lack of knowledge. Don't be in such a hurry to figure everybody's style out...more fun at a slower pace...if you finally get it and still don't like it?...you have options.
