Read several comments last night during the game that our defense had regressed. I don't think it's that they have regressed as much as they're trying to stop a Spurrier coached offense. It's always been hard to stop. I think during the bye week that they will get good and rested and play a complete game against UK. Back to their old form. That being said, they sure redeemed themselves during the OT. Barnett and Maggitt wen't into total BEASTMODE.

Side Note: Butch owns Spurrier. :dance2:

1. This team is mentally tough, arguably more than any team we've had in the last decade.
2. The rushing total tonight will be duplicated multiple times with Dobbs under center over the next two years.
3. A mobile QB is the only kind of QB that should run this offense.
4. So so happy for Seniors like AJJ, this is why they came to Tennessee and, for AJJ, why he trusted Jones enough to return for one more year--a real shot at a bowl game.
5. Dat DL do....won the game in OT.
6. Bennett reminds me of Kevin Carter...and a future top 10 pick.
7. Coleman should never be allowed to cover a WR named Cooper ever again, under threat of castration...for him, Martinez, & Jancek.
8. Logic defies Bajakian's play calling in goal line situations.
9. Thank God for speed. Pig's TD isn't one if he's not that fast.
10. Potential game changer for the program? Stay tuned...

Great post. Especially points 4-7 with an emphasis on 7. Will you are volatil........jr's dad be doing the procedure?:)

Posted this response in the Richmond thread, what are your thoughts?

I think Mullen ends up at FL , Michigan may pursue Freeze though . Could he turn down a school with all that tradition and likely more money to stay at Ole Miss? Freeze leaving is the only way we flip Richmond IMO

I understand everyone thinks Muschamp is a dead man walking, but can you really fire an 8 win coach? I think they win the next three and lose to FSU. This would have given them 8 wins with the cancelled game, which they would have won.

Barnett and Hurd will be the cornerstones of this team for the next 3 years. Those guys are freakin studs.

Agreed.

Barnett will be punishing QB's and Hurd will be punishing anyone that tries to tackle him. He's just a d@mn punisher. Just ask all pour unfortunate chickens he left lying on the field.

@Vol_Football: JONES: Tremendous comeback. We had two 1-minute drives. A drive that will live forever: we went 9 plays with 0 timeouts.

Absolutely. I realize Dobbs was the man last night but Hurd impressed me just as much. He's improved every game. We're in good hands moving forward

Good morning, felt so good this morning waking up with a win. Thanks again to the Tennessee Vol Football team. Win or lose always a Vol but it feels great to win.

Barnett, McKenzie, Tuttle, Taylor, Picou, Johnson..........

We just changed from WRU to OLineU.

In the next couple years I can see DLineU!

I hope you're right, but I think the fans have already turned on him. The damage is done. Plus, I'm not sure Florida will get the win against South Carolina. Their offense has got to become more dimensional. Treon Harris has yet to show that he can throw the ball. I think Spurrier is going to load the box on every play and force them to throw.

Plus, Muschamp's recruiting better improve between now and NSD. At this point, it's attrocious.

If they can score that many on UGA, they can score that many on SC. I think their defense will do better than we did as well.

That was by far and away the best offense we face the rest of the year. South Carolina is 23rd in total offense. Kentucky is 64th, Missouri is 113th, and Vandy is 119th.

Yea I rewatched the game and Pig went off too. He had a couple big catches against Bama too. Maybe Dobbs play has elevated Pigs game also.

Dobbs was playing brain games on his ipad before the game.

Meanwhile in Tally, Jameis broke his 5th ipad trying to figure out the Candy Crush tutorial.

Dobbs mobility is the difference here. Gives the WRs time to finish their routes and get open.

Pig definitely looked faster and fresh last night. Wonder if he had an previous injury?

There were a lot of close games involving top 25 teams yesterday, and I can't wait until a game like ours last night becomes more prominent on the national stage.
