Just noticed something else too. On Pig's TD (the reverse), I think he had the option to throw it. Wolf was running parallel with Pig, WIDE open in the endzone and was looking for the ball. Once Pig turned up, Wolf tried to block. Check it out at 1:24 in this video

For a second, I thought he was going to throw it. Afterburners!

Jacob Gilliam is the heart of this team imo.

He came back to an OL who was struggling and they r looking better.

Dobbs certainly helps with his pocket presence but if your a player and you got a 5th year senior playing with a torn acl, how could that not motivate ya.

I will tell my kids about Dobbs and Hurd sure, but the story of Jacob Gilliam is a thing of legend.

One of my favorite players for what he has done this year.

That was by far and away the best offense we face the rest of the year. South Carolina is 23rd in total offense. Kentucky is 64th, Missouri is 113th, and Vandy is 119th.

Great post. Has me a little excited. I'm in the 1 game at a time mode right now! No looking ahead fellas.

The culture change is absolutely staggering.

It truly is.

Think of some of the nonsense we've seen over the last few years.

Last night, Tennessee gave up plays of 85 and 70 yards to be down 14pts in the 4th quarter....and still fought back to win.

In the immortal words of Jim Ross....GOODGAWDALLMIGHTY.

1. This team is mentally tough, arguably more than any team we've had in the last decade.
2. The rushing total tonight will be duplicated multiple times with Dobbs under center over the next two years.
3. A mobile QB is the only kind of QB that should run this offense.
4. So so happy for Seniors like AJJ, this is why they came to Tennessee and, for AJJ, why he trusted Jones enough to return for one more year--a real shot at a bowl game.
5. Dat DL do....won the game in OT.
6. Bennett reminds me of Kevin Carter...and a future top 10 pick.
7. Coleman should never be allowed to cover a WR named Cooper ever again, under threat of castration...for him, Martinez, & Jancek.
8. Logic defies Bajakian's play calling in goal line situations.
9. Thank God for speed. Pig's TD isn't one if he's not that fast.
10. Potential game changer for the program? Stay tuned...

#9 is stupid. Thank God he is fast? As if that pay could have been run to anybody and it just so happen that our fastest player ended up with the ball!?! That was the entire point of the PLAY DESIGN.

It helps to have a QB who understands the math needed to win. :loco:

My emotions during that game were unreal. Alcohol influenced rage face and alcohol influenced joy to an extent I haven't felt in forever about Vols football. Granted, if we had handled business we wouldn't have won in the fashion we did and won outright by a touchdown or two. However, there's not much of a better feeling than coming from behind like that and telling the OBC to EAD. Gonna lay around and recover cuz I'm drained in the best way possible

Agree... He isn't discussed enough. He is very valuable to this team. Like many, when he went down I was thinking no big deal. I did notice he performed well at the beginning of the year.

When there were whispers that he was practicing and could return, I told everyone I knew that he would not miss his last opportunity at Bama. The guy is VFL, and as you say, a legend!

Vandy is practically going to be a home game as well this yr

Yep... I was there in 98 when Little Neyland was about 90% orange... Vandy captain asked the ref if they could call the coin toss since vandy was the visitors...:lolabove:

Th times they are a changing...:clapping:

"If you are a recruit why would you not want to come to Tennessee. There is only one place, and it's Tennessee."

"He's broken in half!!"

Lol

For a guy that will never blow you away in the 40, Dobbs is an exceptional runner... Good vision and pace, and has a good burst when he gets it going.
