Got a question for the RF. How many of you guys care a lot for UT sports other than Football? I'll be honest, but the only UT sport I care a lot about is football. I mean, I'll watch other Ut sports from time to time when football isn't on. If they win, great. If they lose, I really don't care.
P.S. I do really like soccer, so I'll follow the lady vols team when I get the chance.
Let's get down to bowl chatter first, since there's no game this weekend; the Vols have new life; and it's an enjoyable speculative process. While Tennessee could theoretically be in line for a number of potential destinations, from Jacksonville, Fla., to Charlotte, N.C., to Houston to Birmingham. But forget it. Numerous people told us this week that if the Vols win out and close 7-5, they are heavily likely to land in the Music City Bowl in Nashville --- site of their last postseason appearance --- and would not slip past the Liberty Bowl. The Memphis-based bowl has long-coveted Tennessee; it hoped for the Vols in 2010 and associate executive director Harold Graeter has flat-out been almost a season-ticket holder in terms of his devotion to following the Vols' and fostering relationships in hopes of getting Tennessee to Memphis for the game. For way-too-early planning purposes, the Liberty Bowl is Monday, Dec. 29; the Music City Bowl is Tuesday, Dec. 30.
Actually liberty bowl has been renovated and looks goodHope it's music city because liberty bowl is awful and the kids deserve a better atmosphere than that toilet bowl of a stadium.
I'm sure butch is pulling for the Music City as well for recruiting. That would be 3 straight games in Nashville; Vandy, MCB then UAB opener. 2 back to back at LP field
Am I the only one that would rather play in a bowl in Fl or elsewhere for the guys other than Nashville? I mean I know its a bowl, but its a bowl 2 1/2 hours away. Just for the guys to get to experience something. I guess I'm probably the only one. Would be good for Nashville recruiting I suppose
i know its just a guess for now but who will replace AJ Johnson at mike next year?
behind him on the depth chart is Colton Jumper. looks like he only played in utah state game and hasn't since. doesnt mean he wont play or isnt any good but seems like he wouldve played in chatt as well.... any 2015 guys that will get there? will JRM switch to mike? some sites have jakob johnson listed as well but UT says hes a DL.
sorry for my ignorance or if this has already been discussed. mike linebacker could be a real hole in the D next year if we dont have someone decent in there.
