My goodness, Does anyone else feel it?

I feel the excitement building and building to critical levels for this Saturday. Like Neyland might explode at noon on Saturday. I feel almost like I could go insane with hype-ness (that a word?).

If the rest of Neyland feels like me, then watch out. When that T opens up, FEMA offices in a hundred mile diameter of Knoxville better be manning their posts at the Richter scales.

Parents of small children better have earplugs for their babies to protect their frail eardrums from shattering.

Florida's OL may look like they're blocking each other again, but it will just be that they are holding each other, trying to comfort one another and let each other know they will somehow survive this onslaught of deafening, thunderous noise.

The theory of spontaneous combustion will be put to the test as Willy Muschamp's head will be self-exposed to previously unheard of levels of pressure because his incessant trademark screaming won't be able to be heard over the calamitous roar of the checker-clad army of Volunteers.

The University of Tennessee may have to look into contracting border patrol agents, to try to hold back the sea of recruits that try to pour in trying to somehow secure one of the precious few seats available on this unstoppable Big Orange Steamroll that is leaving the station.

In short, this Saturday should be epic. Can't wait. GO BIG ORANGE!!!

You .may be right. But tell me what they have done this season to have a level of swag that they walk in Neyland wipe our azzes and go home. Yeah I said wipe.

We've been favored before and we've had confidence before. This dating back to the Fulmer days. And, they still managed to beat us, many times soundly. A team can have it in their heads that they can't beat a team no matter and a team can have the feeling that they can beat another team no matter the circumstances. Not saying that the Vols have the mindset of can't beat the Gators but I do think Florida has the mindset that it's the same old Tennessee and they'll "empty our stadium in the 4th quarter". This is the swagger I'm talking about. Now, I prefer our players do their talking on the field as they have and continue to do.

That's one thing I've noticed is that our players have kept quiet and not done any trash talking. They will do their talking on the field in the name of Sutton's hard hits, etc. :wink2:

Titans offering Hunter to the Browns. Poor guy.

@jwyattsports: Trading Justin Hunter (34th overall last yr) to Browns for undrafted RB Isaiah Crowell? Really? Now that would be a fireable offense

Not happening

Not to be negative - just that it usually is a determining factor in the success of the offense; over/under on number of bubbles, jet sweeps, and delayed counter run plays that Jake calls against UF? To win I say he needs to keep it under 6. What say you?

Yep, sounds about right.

So he won't be part of that record setting Jake Locker offense?...sending prayers. :cray:

Jake "Glass Man" Locker

or

Jake "Unbreakable" Locker

I can't decide. I have given up on the Titans this year. I'll check back in next July for training camp.

Why has no one mentioned that Jacob Gilliam was in pads going through practice yesterday? Maybe I missed it, but that is incredible. That kid really does bleed Orange.

Love Whiz as their HC. Hate Locker at QB. This team is several drafts from being a strong contender IMO.

Justin Hunter would be lucky to go to the Browns. A team that is on the rise where he would be starting very quickly.

“Yeah, Jacob’s actually been out there to practice,” Jones said after Tuesday’s practice. “He’s not ready to participate in this game, but having him back in his uniform speaks volumes for his competitive character, his drive and his passion for Tennessee and his love of this football team. There’s a chance he could play again this year.

“It depends how he progresses. I do think it’s a couple of weeks away, and we’ll see. Can he hold up? Can he withstand the pounding, the physicality that comes with playing offensive line? It’s really a week-by-week basis.”

“We’re not really placing any expectations on him,” the coach said. If if happens, it’s a bonus, it’s a benefit. Again, we’re gonna be extremely patient. We’re gonna make sure he does everything that he needs to be able to perform at a high level before we put him out there.”

“Dude’s tough, and he’s trying to get back out there,” freshman tailback Jalen Hurd said. “He don’t care that his knee’s messed up at all. He’s just trying to get back out there and help us. He’s relentless. He’ll do anything to win.”

“I admire him a lot,” Randolph said. “I’ve torn my ACL, and I couldn’t even walk on mine. Just looking at him push through it, he’s always in the training room, 24/7, just trying to get better, just trying to get on the field with us, that speaks a lot to his character. I admire him. I’ve known him since he was a walk-on, since he got here, and he’s always worked hard like that. Nothing he does surprises me.”

The mentality of this football team is in a different galaxy compared to the one under Dooley. I'm still having a hard time comprehending how bad that guy was. At any rate, I really don't want to sidetrack from the point here. I admire this kid. The amount of heart he's displaying is invaluable.
