Effective leaders get things done, especially when it's difficult. I know it's just speculation at this point, but Florida may have fired their underperforming coach and got their guy for the future...in a week.

We've spent four weeks, going on five, trying to decide if we're even going to get rid of our 3-5, 0-5 SEC coach.

This shouldn't surprise any of us. How long did it take them to hire an AD again? And what are we seeing? This is exactly why they didn't hire Blackburn imo. They can't control him like they are Currie. What we have is another ineffective AD that doesn't give a crap about anything but money.

You honestly believe it hasn't been decided? I really don't think many of y'all understand the complexity of some of this stuff. The media has y'all thinking you can wave a magic wand and get whatever you want and coaching moves are easy to make.

Florida did. You're making it too hard.

By get rid of, I mean out. Not coaching. Not involved with team activities. Not out there continuing to embarrass the program.

Florida is committed to winning and doing whatever it takes to do it.

We're committed to...I don't know. Taxslayer.com Bowl trophies I guess.

They're committed to doing nothing, because no matter what, vol fans keep showing up and padding their wallets. Its all they care about.

Florida fans are front runners. If they aren't winning, and the team isn't exciting, their fans don't show up. So they take action, because they have to in order to keep the butts in the seats. Vol fans loyalty hurts us because we show up no matter what. It's admirable, but harmful at the same time.

He may end up going there but I have a very hard time believing it is already a done deal.

This. There is no way Frost and Florida is a done deal. People just want to say they were first so they throw out crap early on so they can go back and say "see what I said on x day."

Frost has always said he will not speak with anyone until the regular season is done.

Rumors are almost always false/fake news.

Don't fall for it again.

Also, a done deal would be leaked to the media so quickly that national guys would already be reporting it.

It is fake news.

Sorry, I am freaking out a little bit. But I think we can all agree that the tea leaves don't bode well for us right now.

Can anyone truly say that, regardless of what you hope might happen, that you approve of John Currie's handling of this coaching transition up to this point?

There's a reason these sorts of things come from Price and not Hubbs. Price is a little more free with his info. Doesn't hedge and doesn't vet like Hubbs.

No need to panic based on Price saying that.

I don’t believe it’s a done deal, but I’d **** a brick if Simonton confirmed its a huge possibility.

So let me get this straight, a done deal from a reporter in regards to a rival school is taken for gospel, but a done deal within our own is bs?

Some of you people are pansies already scared of Florida if Frost goes there. He’s beat a whooping 1 power 5 team and it was Maryland for god’s sake.

That’s whats wrong with Tennessee football

Florida is going to hire a good coach. I dang sure hope they get an up and comer as opposed to one that is already established. I would rather they get Norwell but Them getting Frost is fine by me.

TIFWIW,

A few nuggets from Mike Huguenin from his UF sources.

Their top 3 in order.
Frost
Taggart
Norvell

Chip Kelly has told UF he isn’t interested.

Dan Mullen isn’t going to Florida.

Not the best of news but not the worst of news. I will remain silent on who I hope that they get because whomever I pick is who they will get and then he will kill it there.

I work with a VaTech alum and huge fan. He said that Fuente rarely ever deviates from the initial game plan. Seems to be working so far with Fuente, but that would send so many Vol fans into the loony bin for years.

Uh, news flash, it's way past that for most of us :)

In the same 5 year span Florida got fed their own butt by Louisville, no bowl, BIRMINGHAM Bowl trophy, ate their own butt again in the Citrus and an OUTBACK Bowl trophy. I understand the jealousy.
