how is Frost all but a done deal to UF? What did I miss-- thought firing a coach mid-season was bad/frowned upon... guess that was BS. Assuming we didn't offer...
wow. How far we've fallen... Gruden to Frost to.... bobo at this rate... Currie has it definitely under control.

Frost to Florida is all a rumor... Just like Gruden is a done deal was

You make the most illogical arguments. You said Ky isn't good but KY beat SC.

I give up
KY is in their heads. They’ve got a good streak going on them plus deebo Samuel went down that night and killed the vibe. When UT lost to Memphis back in the 90s was Memphis a better team than Tennessee? Head to head matters but it isn’t the be all end all.

Muschamp was killing it in recruiting at Florida too, 2 top 3 classes. It's way too early to act like Smart is Saban clone, so many guys start amazing and then go downhill.

South Carolina is 10th in the SEC in recruiting and 27th in the nation. They were 8th in the SEC last year and outside the top 20 nationally. He isn't killing it as the previous poster had said.

Take this for what it’s worth:

An associate I supervise talked with Lorenzo Spikes a couple days ago. Spikes said Kiffin will get an interview for the gig at UF.

I’d piss myself laughing if they hired but again TIFWIW

Well, I wasn't referring to anything you posted so I really don't know what you are talking about. It was a McGill post about 50 back....what

I was actually agreeing with you.

I think part of the wait on Butch was to see if he could get the team to another bowl game. That would help him land a job that would decrease the buyout.

Might as well keep him as coach through the season if he can reach a bowl and an interim wouldn’t really change things. It has now gotten to the point where Butch guiding this team to a 6-6 regular season record seems more and more unlikely though.

I think the current climate surrounding UT could see the timeline being pushed up quite a bit. I would be willing to bet that a firing would immediately follow a second loss from this point, as there would be no more chance at bowl eligibility.

Who knows what happens though.

It kinda feels like the title 9 suit all over again. All that had to happen was we settle and get ourselves out of it but the AD wouldn’t do it. In the end he had to do it as the hits just came on coming and it was going to drag on.

Same kinda deal here. AD could end all this if he wanted to and eventually he will have no choice.

We are getting really bad press right now with the concussion, and even the Title IX stuff being brought up from last year. Fans are talking of not comng to games. Just seems like it would be easier to cut him loose.

I think it’s moving that way for sure now.

I get the feeling that Currie really wanted to be able to fire Butch— with him almost immediately getting an ok G5 job— and then introducing our new coach within 48 hours.

But, take it for what it’s worth. This is only a slightly educated guess as best.

VN edumacated. 😀

I heard that Haslam is really The Godfather to Butch's children and they eat dinner at each others house twice a week. Thus Haslam wants Butch to keep the job at UT no matter what. I also heard that John Currie is actually related to Haslam distantly and desperately wants his approval so he is willing to side with whatever Haslam wants. Furthermore, the other boosters are scared of Haslam because he is also a member of the illuminati and in reality he controls all of their lives and they are terrified to go against him. Haslam is planning on taking Currie with him to worship at the altar of Moloch out in California next year. If Currie obeys perfectly, rumor has it that Haslam will also take Currie with him to the next Bilderberg meeting. TIFWIW

When did you come down with the Fail Flu? :thud:
