I should clarify that by saying he'll be the one to break it nationally.

I think he's the best sports writer in the nation, and arguably one of the most trusted reporters by those in college football.

And He seems to have a pulse on this program like no other national media member.

I know. They want nothing more than for Florida to hire Chip Kelly and for the SEC to be an annual 6-team race between Bama, Auburn, LSU, UGA, UF, and whatever other team cycles up that year as long as it isn't Tennessee.

Beat their teams in the 90's and early 2000's. Peyton was everywhere and it annoyed them is my guess.

Meyer was rumored done 11/17 and then removed himself from ESPN coverage the weekend before he was announced on 11/28. I recently looked it up for reference, lol.

Meyer was announced the Monday after the last regular season game. It was being reported during the week of that last game (in part because he had asked to get taken off the OSU-Michigan broadcast team for that Saturday), but Meyer was denying it to the end.
