I remember when we hired Dooley, rumor was Phil (as HC) was offering Petrino OC with Chavis as DC (and CHavis was off National championship wins)

I don't know if that was true either, but if it was..

Thank you, I was thinking this needs to get to some state reps particularly those who aren't Haslam puppets. Who would love to take them down in fact.

Just moved back to Knoxville and was planning on buying season tickets next year. I’ll be calling them tomorrow saying they won’t be getting my money. Really sad.

The issue is we have Currie and he has minimal but some support and his ideas and our ideas of a good coach don't allign.

Honestly this may be what we need a bad hire. I agree with what Aesius said in the other thread. Before the people that have the dirt release the dirt they need to know the Haslams have a guy in place that isn't going to luck into working. Dave Doreen is Butch Jones 2.0

That sucks man. At least in Middle Tennessee, I can go to MTSU games for cheap. They’re getting my football money.

I agree. He's worse than a bad hire. He's going to make a huge percentage of the fan base apathetic. Me included.

Sure, there's a chance he succeeds, but it's a smaller chance than any candidate they've floated, save one or two.

If we get telling Doeren on twitter that we don’t want him there’s a chance he really will stay away. Keep putting on more steam. We may force this AD into hiring Tee Martin yet!

I would be a bit cautious about the "he's following our players on twitter" argument. If you go through his followers, he's also following players and commits from teams all over the country. I know his hire seems imminent but let's not jump the gun quite yet.

What we the fans and the good side need is the team on our side. If we can get the team to start asking questions then the heat will really turn up

I do see what Aesius is saying. Atlanta Vols last post was that we were going to enter a dark time and to not renew our season tickets. Maybe that's why they are sitting back allowing this to happen. They know we will revolt that much harder, where as with a good hire we wouldn't.

At this point I’m over going after future coaches. Schiano was different because of the Penn St. stuff. Doeren is just trying to get a better job.
