Hank, how many days before the hire was announced were graphics created? For instance, CBJ was hired on 12-7, when were his graphics created?

I can’t give a real answer here, but considering all the graphics I see fans throwing up on Twitter for grumors or lulz, I’d assume it doesn’t take TOO long for professionals.

No. I was addressing your nitial point that UT does not recruit itself. I was just disputing that, and I didn't say anything about Mullen in regards to that point.

Not precisely what I said, but a fair interpretation. Should have clarified that it doesn't recruit itself to the extent that we need it to. In a subsequent post, I said it provided a floor, but we need much, much, much more than a top 25 floor.

Agency people I've worked with will spend a whole day on one graphic sometimes. Professionals take a LOT longer than amateur photoshop people. They'll go pixel by pixel to get it perfect if they need to.

IF Currie has Gruden, he's using a 3rd party agency, not the internal UT people. No way he could prevent leaks using that team.

From the FF:

“All but 1 recruit (has scheduling conflict) has rescheduled their visit away from this weekend. Cade Mays and Dixon have both scheduled their visit for 1st weekend in December among others. You will know your coach sometime next week....best guess is Tuesday but that’s a guess.”

Did someone say Tuesday: 11/28...

And Richmond was far from a sure thing as well. We had to flip him at the last minute. Not sure I buy the coaches letting Orlando Brown go on signing day in the off chance they could swing Richmond a year later.

Their plans were for him at right tackle anyway. They wanted him. School screwed it up.

Say Currie hypothetically wanted to keep a hire (not necessarily Gruden) secret or announce one suddenly though.

Couldn’t a professional team probably crank things out in a day if they had to though?

Yes, theoretically, they could do it in an hour. Our amateur eyes can't appreciate how perfect professionals are at that stuff though. Given enough money, of course they'd do their best, but it's pretty uncommon in the agency world to produce a product that isn't absolutely perfect, because your competitors can use it against you when bidding for future work.

Sure they could. Vol twitter spits out pretty good graphics in a few minutes. They could easily make some good graphics of Gruden quickly.
