It seems that things are playing out much like everyone thought. Curry kicked the tires on Gruden and Kelly. These were the ones he could do officially before Friday. Friday it will be Mullen. From there is where the action really begins. I assume he has laid the groundwork with agents of the other top candidates who have an interest. I think Mullen will need to think over the Vols offer given so many other options out there for him. I doubt Curry waits if he has another viable options. Curry may be on a plane to Washington Friday night to go after Peterson. At least I hope so. He could also be headed to Florida to talk to Frost.

Curry's supporting the Bball team was the right thing to do. He had that 2-3 day window available, although his phone is going non-stop. I bet his weekend will be really hectic.

Currie vs the other AD's searching for HC

I swear that is the most vicious foul/penalty in all of sports. Absolutely savage and could've led to serious injury.

Quick afternoon thought...

On this Thanksgiving Eve, Tennessee's coaching search remains full of speculation.

On Wednesday afternoon, USA Today reported that former Oregon coach Chip Kelly had turned down the Tennessee job. Multiple VolQuest.comsources, both around college football as well as close to Tennessee’s search, insist that is not true. Kelly has visited with both Florida and UCLA and is believed to be deciding between the two.

Vols athletics director John Currie is in the Bahamas watching his basketball team play Purdue. Currie will travel home on Thursday. Then the question becomes where Currie will be on Friday and this weekend.

This morning in the Topeka Capital-Journal, there was a story regarding some email exchanges with then AD Currie and other K-State officials regarding Jim Leavitt as a possible head coach in waiting.

There is not a ton of details or substance to the story, but this graph from one of Currie's emails is somewhat telling.

“It would be big $ and a hassle to fly from NYC to Little Rock and back to NYC, but it certainly would make for excellent message board fodder and succession theatre,” Currie said in an email to Veatch.

Willie Taggert is also referenced in the story as a part of the emails.

The biggest question right now appears to be what is Currie's travel plans when he returns from the Bahamas? We have not confirmed a day or location on a potential face-to-face visit to Dan Mullen, but it appears that is where it will likely start — provided that Mullen agrees to a meeting.

There is a rule that says with only certain amount of time left theres is no physical way to get a shot off. I'm not sure what that number is. If it's under a certain amount of time then the game/play is over.

Catch and shoot. Not a tip. Either way you put the time on the clock and finish the game.

Currie confirmed troll! He's reading this thread. Sup John.

That number used to be .3 seconds (I really wanted to say 10.3 ) that all could be done was a tipped shot. No catch and release at .3 or less. Not sure if that's changed or not.

I think you're right. Iv'e looked around, albeit a little bit, and I've not found anything.
