The JJ stuff looks bad now, but I’ll wait until I hear everything before I make a decision on him. That’s if we hear about it at least.

Wasn't that guy all in on Gruden before?

Anyway, Frost would be fantastic, but the timing doesn't make sense. Tennessee - led by Currie - is setting up the big recruiting weekend for Dec 2-3. The same time Frost would be leading his UCF team to play for the conference title.

I don't believe he's going to leave his team hanging like that.

I'd say the heck with it if it meant we could get Scotty. Wallace said that's why things soured with him and Florida. They weren't patient.

If he actually did this, what is he thinking?

Same kid that sat in the stands instead of on the sidelines with his team and watched to LSU game. Do not want him back.

No matter who the coach is, I will not accept a head-coach-in-waiting scenario. I absolutely loathe that concept, particularly when its contractually obligated. Pigeon hole city.

Fo sho. If I'm not mistaken, already has the same number of wins against ranked opponents as Mullen (or close to it). Lot more upside.

I think the HCIW scenario is stupid and almost never works out but what does “I will not accept it” mean?

Same kid that won us the UGA and UF games last year... Not everything is black and white.

How good he is, or what games he's won, has NOTHING to do with this. That's apparently the problem with some "teams", if you're good enough you get special treatment.

Actually saying the same we are? I'll actually fight for JJ. What he did may be childish yes but what his he? A teen still. When you're not allowed on the sideline while dealing with depression from your injury and the coaches calling you out for it? Yeah. I would be pissed too & reading what the fans are saying yah why would I wanna be around.

So go ahead blame the kid. Blame the kid for having heart. Blame the kid who battled his way from the other side to come back but isn't allowed. He would be gone anyway after another year. JJ is the heart you need for this team.

He never quit. Daniel Helm never quit, Darrell Scott never quit.

Jennings would be dumb to play. He can shirt this year. As long as he is healthy I think he goes pro after next season. But imagine he breaks his arm in week 4 next year. It would stink for him to not have that year of eligibility left.

Agree. Not thinking this through.

This is one thing that for some reason keeps sticking in my head. If it's Gruden...and I still believe it is...and if they announce on or about the 28th...which I think is the magic date...I cannot help but wonder if part of the "Gruden Deal", and maybe one of the key negotiation points, is that JG is coming here for 5-7 years to get UT back on track, and then will hand the reins to a hand-picked successor.

I don't have any evidence at all to support this theory, but for some reason I just keep wondering if this might not be a part of a long-term deal.

Go Vols.

I don't think he can get a MRS unless he is injured next year. He can't rs this year, regardless of injury.

I think the thing missing here though is that if this was the case, he would likely have someone in mind. As it stands, I just don't think it's logical that, of the names bounced around, I just can't identify who would fit that bill. I don't see Gruden making that big of a stink to be Tee's fairy godmother, and Dale Jones et al don't really fit the bill.

I'd be shocked if this was part of it.

🙏🏾
Seems our fans are way more forgiving of that snake oil salesman of a head coach who ordered a code red on an upstanding citizen and player who was standing tall against an alleged sexual abuse by a teammate.
