Anyway, Frost would be fantastic, but the timing doesn't make sense. Tennessee - led by Currie - is setting up the big recruiting weekend for Dec 2-3. The same time Frost would be leading his UCF team to play for the conference title.

I don't believe he's going to leave his team hanging like that.

Ainge is his contact IMO. Also, Ainge made comment he had gut feeling Currie really wants Frost.

You must have heard Ainge wrong. He said he would bet everything be ever owned that Scott Frost would be the next coach.

The classic mixup is mixing up what Bcarter has said. Only thing positive he said on Gruden was that there was a lot of smoke but that he would have to see it to believe it. He never said Gruden was going to come and was actually vocal against it in the gruden thread.

No AD worth his salt makes a hire based on or around a recruiting weekend.

I think he's basing that recruiting weekend off the idea he has his guy. Not the other way around IMO.

I'm not saying he is making a hire solely for recruiting. But my point is that, if Currie "has his guy" and knows the exact timeline, why wouldn't they push the big recruiting weekend out one week longer?

It signals to me that he knows he is going to make the hire next week.

No way Frost allows AAC Championship game determine his future.

I don't think so. He's been extremely skeptical of Gruden this time around. Even to the point they've tried to run him off over there.

He has always said he would have to see it to believe it. He was all in on Gruden in 2012 though. Also, I think Dec. 9th could also another big recruiting weekend if not the main one. That’s the weekend that Alontae Taylor has his official.

AAC game is December 2. Frost could coach that game and still be announced inmplenty of time to get on campus for the 9th.

I think so too. I’m fairly sure a lot of recruits will be in town the weekend weekend of the 2nd which would suck that you wouldn’t have Frost on campus yet but it’s worth it. I know the 9th there are recruits on campus too. Alontaes official visit is the the weekend of the 9th.

Also of note, if Frost lost this weekend he won’t be in the championship so if Frost was your guy you could announce this upcoming week.

I always get accused of trying to be the morality police over stuff like this but imo it’s ALWAYS too soon to make light of young boys getting raped and an entire university systematically covering it up. I hate the Penn State jokes.
