If we are gonna speak anecdotally..

I’ve only heard it in reference to black males. From people that have ample opportunity to use the word on white males but never do.

I've heard it used to describe people being thugs. Color doesn't matter, a thug is a thug.

I'm all in on Matt Campbell so I expect to learn he's not a real candidate very soon.

Campbell and Petersen seem like really different coaches, but they have both proven that they can get their teams to play over their heads and win big games with inferior talent. That is the #1 attribute for both of these guys IMO.

Iowa st has a 1,000yd rusher so not sure how thisnis the case unless it's because they don't have a running QB. Hunt had 1400yd last yr for him and tearing up NFL Montgomery his guy now likely is a NFL draft pick too

I just got married and watched that interview last night. Laughed my ass off. I ended up "taking charge" and demanding certain colors and foods and desserts just to stop the bickering. Knew it was going to be a several months-long ordeal otherwise. Leach was spot-on.

Agreed on all points except the last one. I'm still a JJ fan, hope he gets another shot with us with the new regime. And hopefully he's learned his lesson and reps UT well going forward.

A die hard fan equates the kids giving their all for UT to being in a "dead-end" job?

I would have given anything to run through that tunnel and play in front of 102k+ on Saturdays. Not to mention leaving UT without any student loan debt, and establishing enumerous connections across the state and region as a UT football lettermen.

I hardly call that "dead-end". Its not the football program thats the laughing stock, its the fan base. And you, Mr. "Die-Hard" are a prime example why.

If we hear Campbell is out, it's freakin' Gruden. I fully believe that. I think we're going to be able to read the tea leaves one way or another by Friday to know if Gruden is going to be here or not.

What will really be the tipping point is when Hubbs makes a post similar to this...”We’ve seen all the rumors today about Gruden and UT. What we confirmed is that Currie has met with Gruden sometime in the last 24 hours and talks are still on going.”

If you think Matt Campbell would have done better at Miss St than DAN Mullen.....then yes. If you think he would have done about the same or worse at Miss St.....then no.

Would love to have a consensus from Volnation on this.

Would Dan Mullen have beat 2 top five teams at Iowa State or be ranked 20 at Toledo? Campbell has accomplished quite a bit at a young age.

But read my post you replied to again. A lot of people for years have used it as a way to say the n word in public without actually saying it. That has made people suspicious of anyone that uses it now.

You can be pedantic about it all you want, but that is why there is sensitivity around the use of the word.

He is, but if Florida gets Kelly, it's all moot anyway with that level of hire.

Kelly is going to be nothing beyond an 8-4 / 9-3 coach in the SEC...if he ends up in the SEC...without a slam-dunk DC.

Don't waste your time on Kelly -vs- UT. We sucked; they were at the top of the CFB polls at the time. Basketball on grass.

Saban...Smart..and yes, Gruden, would slam the door in Kelly's face in the SEC.

I'd much rather UF get Kelly, than Frost or Campbell.

In both situations there is sacrifice. College shouldn’t cost as much as it does now and student athletes (specifically football and basketball players) should get paid. System is effed up both ways
