I think this is exactly what happens today...nothing. After the stealth mode of the baseball hire, I don’t think we have the worst AD.

Anti-Mullens. Is UT a better program than Msu, Does UT have better facilities, Is UT easier to win at, Is UT easier to Recruit at? If you answered yes to all these questions than you have no real argument. It's all based on a feeling and no logic at all

Mullen is not a good enough coach to take advantage of those things.

He'll be mediocre no matter where he goes.

We're better than hiring someone like Dan Mullen. He's mediocre. Oregon and Miami didn't even wanna hire him the last 2 years. That should let us know exactly where he stands in the coaching ranks.

I am on board with you, here. Let's have a moratorium on the merits of Mullen (MoM) if and when he is at the podium. Then, we will have 3-5 years at least to let that debate rage.

I would think so. I think all the Mullen talk was just Sexton hyping his client for a raise. Miss state isn’t going to want to lose him. They’ll pay more.

Besides Gruden and Petersen all these other coaches are C/D rate hires.

This is how a big part of the fanbase feels, IMO. There are currently only three very longshot coaches who could come closest to uniting us:

Gruden
Petersen
Patterson

Possibly Fisher

Anyone else is going to have some people very happy and a big chunk of our fans very unhappy. It is still a crapshoot, regardless. There are no certainties. The best thing we can do is wait to see who it is and then decide if we need to convince ourselves if he is going to get it done after he wins the press conference.

If its Sunday, you can prolly rule out Frost, and I will be supremely disappointed if its Mullen. Nothing says championship week like a coach who hasn't even won a west championship in 9 years.

If it's Sunday, it won't be Gruden due to MNF. Peterson is more than great though!!
