I was told earlier this week that Tennessee had requested permission to speak with Mullen. I understand that Tennessee was told that Dan would not be available for any interviews until after the game.

I'm told today that Mullen will speak with Tennessee today. In fact, as I understand it they will fly down and pick him up for that chat.

My understanding is that it is not a done deal and that Mullen has been receptive to talk of an extension, more money for Grantham and assistants.

He has a decision to make and I'm told it won't take him long.

Imo Petersen would be the safest of the home run hires out there. We would be competing for actual championships toot sweet.

Is sexton the agent for any of the other coaches we are after? I just wonder if he is asking us to publicly flirt with his client Mullen to get him an extension while he closes a deal for us with another client.

With Mike VICK in his prime at QB and that was ALL he ever did in the league. Horrible and Fired twice after that.

Are you REALLY trying to compare ONE good season with an all time great (while healthy and not incarcerated) QB to a coach that went to 3 conf championships and won a super bowl? Smh

UT isn't going to be played to help Mullen get a fat raise. Don't think UF will, either. Mullenmania could die quickly.

I’m not a Gruden believer at all (i.e., don’t think he’s coming).

But he’d be a grand slam homer run. There is no denying that. We’d be the talk of college football and he’s land top 5 classes every year. No doubt in my mind.

He lost the Egg bowl for the 3rd time in 4 years, finished 8-4 and .500 or worse in his last 3 years in the conference. And he's probably gonna get an extension and a bump after the fact.
