Sorry but to be a top notch football program, we've gotta find a coach that can manage players like Jennings. He's not some anomoly or horrible person. He's a college football player with some issues. Lots of great players have them. They don't have to be angels. But you have to have a coach that can keep players like that engaged and in the program. The goal is to build the best football team, not the best Sunday school class.
Egos are a part of it. Maybe Jennings was too far gone. Sounds like that's possible. But he's also the kind of player that would have died on the field for the Vols to help us win. It's a shame to see a guy like that tossed aside to me.
