Most of this country don’t read this board (sorry Freak). So la canfora writing things posted here makes him sound like he is “in the know”. He is an nfl guy with nfl readership. I don’t think he has any information we don’t already have.

If Gruden is hired. His readers think he has sources everywhere. If Gruden isn’t hired, his readers probably don’t even notice.

I hope I am wrong but I am still expecting a college coach to be announced this week.

The CBS article is important if you subscribe to the theory that Gruden was locked in sometime before the season ended, but did not want to appear to be in negotiations with for a job before it was officially open (FFCA and whatnot). The article establishes a demarcation line for both parties to claim as the beginning of negotiations.

Not sure I buy that theory, but the timing of the article is very suspicious. This info has been out there to verify for weeks.
