I just can't see Mullen wanting this big of a challenge. It's a much bigger challenge than it would've been last year. Maybe I'm reading Mullen wrong. To me, it seems like he's grown used to the moderate expectations and lower pressure of MSU and wouldn't relish the idea of dealing with undisciplined players, a furious fanbase, inept leadership and a program in disarray. A complacent guy wouldn't fare well here. So maybe he's not that guy?
Ya, but with a first round qb he didn't recruit or develop. It's tough to assume that success will translate with only an average to slightly above average qb
Random info for anyone interested; if not, please disregard. ATP, UT is not planning to announce a new coach today. Currie is not confiding in anyone-- he's lone wolfing this. Either he'll be the hero he thinks he is or he'll find himself on the wrong side of people who matter. It could be anyone. Literally anyone. Except Chip Kelly, Gary Patterson, Butch Jones, Derek Dooley, Charles Manson or Peyton Manning.
He was his OC both years as a starter, but he gets no credit for developing him? He is still projected as the 1st pick in the draft. You can't take away from the offenses success because he has a QB that is going to be highly picked. Darnold wasn't a 5* coming out of high school either.
