If we'd seriously consider Schiano, we might as well look at Petrino. When Currie put high integrity, commitment to compliance and running a clean program out there as key attributes, he set limitations.

I’m hungover and just woke up to that CBS article. 👀

Don’t know what to make of it. I don’t buy that UT leaked that to show they tried. If that is true, and they are just now leaking that then I don’t feel good about who the candidate could be. So I choose to believe that the CBS article is good news and the first leaks.

Gruden to The Hill.

Apparently an MSU 247 writer says that we officially offered Mullen. But Florida is also in the mix.

Agreed IF true. From what I can tell it isn't true and the coach that says it is so is a lair and that's been proven in court.

I think it would be a great football hire, and still do, and with as thin of an account as that was, wouldn't bet the farm on it. I would like to think a man would do something completely different in his 50s than he would in his 20s, but I admit with as heinous as that whole situation was, it being true would be impossible to look past.

I'd also have real concerns about Peyton's buy in. If he hates Schiano, it's obviously business as usual on the Hill with that hire.

CBS report was just one last effort to get our hopes up so we will feel especially defeated when a mediocre to bad hire is announced. It’s happened to us repeatedly over the past 8-10 years. We think we FINALLY win, only to have our hopes dashed in the end.

I have been one of, if not the biggest nay-sayers of hiring Mullen, but if Tee came to be OC, then I MIGHT give it a look.... ONLY because Tee would be an outstanding recruiter for us and we could pull some elite talent. Mullen brings his O staff, then FORGETABOUTIT, back to do not want mediocrity.

Where is hank? He might know before anyone because of the graphics needed. He said Dooley and butch stuff was created before announcement

Sorry I like Hank but he's been wrong a lot more than he's been right lately.
