really don't know. It could be the media hasn't been told to leave open but this is coming from the athletic department. Maybe staffers have been told to be available but media not yet.. I really can't answer other than they have not been on the board much the last 24 hours due to holiday. There are lots of questions that go unanswered on here everyday. some for several days.

Personally, I don't think it is all that significant that has been stated. As I said, nothing likely to be scheduled. could be Monday or Tuesday but if your Currie and something did break that quick, you would want staff available.

standby is absolutely no guarantee that something will happen.. it just means there is a chance something could happen.. people are reading too much into that IMO.

He said Gruden is still plan A and that isn't dead yet. I think he just doesn't believe Gruden will sign on the dotted line and actually become the coach. However, I do believe that he's been told by very reliable sources that Currie is going to hire a Grand Slam Home Run Wow coach. And Petersen's name was floated out there. So he's going with Petersen because that's more believable to him.

So Ole Miss beat Mississippi State with WRs that were both in-state and Mullen couldn't get one of them right? Brown is from Starkville too and that's a problem for me. How well does he really recuit? Herman got Ed Oliver to stay at home in Houston over Power 5 schools. Mullen can't even get one high profile guy to come there after his longevity with that program.
