The folks in charge of the misinformation campaign have secretly scheduled a parade. News will leak soon. Gruden will be carried on people's shoulders as the parade marches to Neyland, where the coronation will take place amidst clouds of cannon smoke. It's true. Beav said and Butt-Head verified.

If we are still looking after all of this and the way currie has been shuffling around like it hasn't been a priority, then he should be fired. seriously.
Don't buy it.

Oh, and I'll say again it's funny we don't want Kelly because of possible NCAA side effects, but UCLA trips over themselves to sign him without thinking twice. We look dumb right now unless we have someone.

Would seem to be in direct contradiction to all the news of an announcement this weekend but as the only in person somewhat direct info I got I am still hopeful. With that said I do not see any announcement on Frost until after the CG.

If there is an announcement this week I do not think its Frost. Either the info was misdirection, they moved on from Frost and he is going to Nebraska or he is taking the UF job. The person I got the Frost info from said as I posted that the biggest threat to Frost was Kelly taking the UCLA job instead of UF because it is widely thought Frost will take UF over UT.

I am starting to buy in to the Petersen hype but not sure if I really believe it or WANT to believe it.

I’m so ready for this to be over. Why do we need so many ****ing smokescreens and misinformation to hire a college football coach? (If that’s what is actually is happening)

Because we both know its not smokescreens. Most of it is agents trying to bump their clients salaries, and the rest of it are fans desperately trying to cling to their belief in Santa Claus.

Larry said the athletic dept staff has been told to prepare for a possible announcement Sunday but then says UT and Petersen are just talking right now with mutual interest. Those 2 things don't line up at all to me. You don't have dozens of people plan an entire day for a possibility of announcement if you don't have a good possibility of said announcement happening. Right? I've never worked in that type of environment.

He said they were told to be prepared in case there was announcement.

It can move quickly from the hire to announcement. They'll be told to be ready every day after today until we make the hire.
