You can’t use that arguments. It’s about current market. It’s the same reason Matt Stafford is highest paid player in the league or joe Flacco was at one point the highest paid QB.

8 mill for Gundy is overpaying, but that’s what it takes to make it happen.

I agree. As bad as the Haslams are and have been, they know their image took a huge, huge hit on Sunday. As did their AD stooge. They used to work in the shadows screwing stuff up, but the Schiano disaster lifted the floorboards and shined a flashlight on them.

This is a way to make it right with the fans and the boosters. Gotta finance those stadium renovations somehow.
