I think we need to give up the dream of an established coach coming to UT. No quality one will jump onboard this crazy train. Have to go interim or take a chance on a coordinator, though the top-flight coordinators are also unlikely to leave their situations for this.

That much is obvious, but he also just dropped that if Lane came back, good chance Tee would come with him as OC.

How can you pass that up over Kevin Steele?

Ugh, I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but I would take that. We would absolutely kill it on the recruiting trail. Make Blackburn his compliance officer, sign him to at least five years with a one to $2 million buyout if he is fired. Make his buyout anywhere from $10-$20 million if he leaves on his own for another coaching job anywhere… Including the NFL.

Regarding Tee's alleged work ethic, I am a firm proponent of working smarter not harder. Maybe he works smart so it doesn't take as much effort.
